Hog Hunt with a Tomahawk

Wild hogs are becoming a big big problem around here and other parts, they destroy peoples land, and can be very very dangerous if you get one cornered, that being said, Most hunters are the biggest wildlife conservationists there is, I know people with hundreds and hundreds of acres of land, that go above and beyond to protect the wildlife on their land. They also have a freezer full of deer meat as well :), Every person I have ever hunted with has respect for what they are hunting, If you are going to take an animals life you need to do it for food , and as quickly as possible to prevent as much suffering to the animal as possible. Around my neck of the woods the deer population is getting out of control as well as the hogs, Result of that is more people getting injured from hitting deer with their cars, there are certain roads that you can't even travel at night without seeing a deer either run across the road or see some off the road. Sorry for drifting off topic, but the point is hogs are becoming very invasive, but still no excuse for not trying to kill them as quickly as possible...I'm not impressed by the guy in the videos attempt at machoism by hacking a hog with a t-hawk, If he keeps that crap up his next video is gonna be titled what happens when you don't kill a wild hog quickly, and it will feature him showing off some pretty serious wounds...

So as long as you get to survive the animal can die? Kind of f'd up that something has to die so that you get to live.

I'm too soft to hunt for sport. Watching an animal die in front of me breaks my heart.

Survival situation is different... Even if it's a forced thing. You know, go out and test your skills. But being fat and well fed, I just find it a bit macabre to enjoy killing something... take a picture for Facebook and then drive home. Not for me. I'd rather watch the animals.

I don't judge though. Just saying I'm a softie and it's not for me.
 
looks like fun and a decent rush. good on him. primitive weapons give the animals a better chance of survival. id bet the hog would prefer to get hunted by a dude with a hawk than a .300 win mag and a 4-12X scope.
