Every once in a while....you get one that comes together nicely and rejuvenates the knife-makin' energies. This was it.

Nice looking blade!:thumbup: I got a question though. Is the back edge sharpened? And are the holes in the blade to reduce weight and increase the balance?
 
Wow, that's one sick looking knife. Not quite my style, I go for the more slick, modern designs... but I could easily see that being converted to right up my alley.
 
Yes, the top edge is sharpened (or, rather, will be sharpened :D).

The holes in the blade are to reduce weight, but also to aid in retraction...by cutting down on the suction on the blade.

Hollywood just might give you a call to use that knife as a villain's in an upcoming slasher flick.

If I were going to build that knife, the only change I would make to the profile would be to slim down the top of the butt-flange on the knife. However, I would replace the as-forged finish with something a little less tribal (I like the differential coloring, but I'd go for mirrored grinds and handrubbed/bead blasted flats, or even something like DLC on the flats) and extend the scales to past the fingerhole, although I'd make sure that they were quite slim over the fingerhole. I'd also replace the scales with something a little more techy, maybe G10, CF, or an interesting Micarta.

That'd be a kickass fighter.

Dude, I gotta agree with the others that that's one sweet looking blade. But, what's up with the above? Were you just joking here? :foot: (I hope)

...Just hadda pop in to toss out a little info. Tonight ,08/10/2006, at 8 PM Eastern time, on the Outdoor Life Network they are showing a piece entitled..."Wild Boar with Knifeshot"...It's about using a knife to take down a wild boar. Might be interesting to watch...
