Then how would I be able to tie a D-guard? Gotta have D-guards man!![]()
Without a talonhole it just isn't a Busse. As for the handles:barf:, the whole reason I no longer buy Swamp Rats.
What the heck do you need a D-guard on a smaller knife like and AD or Game Warden or MS for?????:barf:
And further, a D-guard on the current Muk version or the SAR5 would be in the way of holding and functioning the knife BIG TIME!!!! :barf: :thumbdn: :thumbdn:
D-guard on either of these would be HORRIBLE:

Granted this is all just my opinion.... But, at least I know it is the CORRECT opinion in this case.

hogmuk for me any one no when these will hit the site coz im ready!
That would be something I would very much like to see, and would certainly buy one. Or two. Or three. The choil interferes with performance in precision work, on small to medium knives like the GW and AD. When the cutting edge is taken farther away from the hand, you lose a lot of control over the cuts. The closer the edge comes to the hand the better, the less between there the better. A small guard would be okay, since a lot of folks seem to want one, but I don't find any purpose to a choil like those used currently. And that is meant with no disrespect - we're all human, and do things the way we're used to doing things. There are certainly many small Busses with choils, so it would be great to see a small Busse that doesn't have one - it would have much better edge control in fine work.
The SAR4 is the one I'm waiting for - a bit smaller than the SAR5, so it's handier size for small work. Hopefully, it'll come. I'll let you guys handle the 'Muks. I don't fancy the Nessmuk design in general.
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I thought the SAR4 design has a choil and is like a mini SARsquatch?
I thought it was exactly like that SAR5, only... SAR4.I could be mistaken though - it's been a while since Jerry posted that thread about them, and now I can't remember exactly how it goes. I just hope SAR4 isn't dead and buried. I don't see what sense a mini-SARsquatch as a design would make, though.
Just a FYI... according to Boss man, the HOGMuk is gone.
What was to be the HOGMuk...
