HOG muk!!!

Defiantly like the handles better

So give DWRW's a choil and a talon hole and I buy one or two or three or................................

What the heck do you need a D-guard on a smaller knife like and AD or Game Warden or MS for????? :confused: :barf:



And further, a D-guard on the current Muk version or the SAR5 would be in the way of holding and functioning the knife BIG TIME!!!! :barf: :thumbdn: :thumbdn:


D-guard on either of these would be HORRIBLE:

Crazy..... :rolleyes: Some of the Swamp Rat handles are awesome. The RMD rocks!!!!

I don't need a symbol that interferes with performance. If it doesn't interfer, then fine.

I am fine with Talon Holes on most medium to larger Busse's, but find it all kinds of wrong on the smaller ones.


This modified concept version of the AD would be MANY times improved and much more functional without the Talon Hole. :thumbup:

As I said earlier, I'll take a MiniMuk, and who knows about the HogMuk. The handles may grow on me.;)
I still think the SW handles look atrocious on these though.:barf:

That would be something I would very much like to see, and would certainly buy one. Or two. Or three. The choil interferes with performance in precision work, on small to medium knives like the GW and AD. When the cutting edge is taken farther away from the hand, you lose a lot of control over the cuts. The closer the edge comes to the hand the better, the less between there the better. A small guard would be okay, since a lot of folks seem to want one, but I don't find any purpose to a choil like those used currently. And that is meant with no disrespect - we're all human, and do things the way we're used to doing things. There are certainly many small Busses with choils, so it would be great to see a small Busse that doesn't have one - it would have much better edge control in fine work.

That's one of the reasons why I like the HOG muk and the SAR5 designs. They're choil-less and the new DCH Handle is nice and beefy and I think would be great for avoiding hand fatigue in a busy day at camp.
 
The SAR4 is the one I'm waiting for - a bit smaller than the SAR5, so it's handier size for small work. Hopefully, it'll come. I'll let you guys handle the 'Muks. I don't fancy the Nessmuk design in general.

I thought it was exactly like that SAR5, only... SAR4. :D I could be mistaken though - it's been a while since Jerry posted that thread about them, and now I can't remember exactly how it goes. I just hope SAR4 isn't dead and buried. I don't see what sense a mini-SARsquatch as a design would make, though.

From what I remember the SAR4 is very similar to the SAR5 except that it will have the classic Busse choil and front talon hole and the handle will be different.

Personnally my knife buying funds keep getting wiped out by unexpected car repiars so I'm ok with the AAS, SAR4, Production SARsquatch and SFNO being held off for another 6mths to a year. I say bring on the Muks.
 
The BabySAR has two designs... and we have yet to see the one on top.
