Hog Muzak

I have Tool on Vinyl......and Rob Zombie and Sir Mixalot....oh yeah and the sound track to Death Wish:D

Ever seen John McLaughlin?? Holy crap, a master....

They included/spun off some greats I've been lucky enough to see, Ponty, Hammer, Cobham, Di Meola, De Lucia.

Have some vinyl of all of theirs, and some cassettes, but still need to CD them.

Thanks for the jump start....

Add a set of brothers to the list of "in the CD holder now" too, Edgar and Johnny Winter...

Mike,

I almost added Mahavishnu Orchestra to my list but I thought everyone would say "What??!?"

I found "Birds of Fire" at the local Barnes Noble.

As I was going through checkout I imagined the guy behind the counter saying "Whew, thought we would never sell that one."

I'll have to bring my old 8 track copy to Indy to prove I'm a true believer and trade on a Steel Heart.

I've been listening to the microphones "mt. eerie" on repeat for some time now... fantastic album. Just uploaded a bunch of ambient/post rock bands to listen to... hopefully some of them will turn out good :(

amina, a lily, anoice, and of course do make say think should turn out good...

and on sd card #2, I'm always in the mood for alexisonfire. I have a hard time listening to city and colour now becuase it reminds of me of some wonderful times now gone by, but they are always amazing.

xploding plastix, architecture in helsinki, at the gates, copeland, a wilhelm scream, the newer album by "the konki duet", and the decemberists makes for a nice rounded playlist....

lol, in the midst of my ambient sd card I threw in the saw tooth green - "cuddle monster" just to scare me awake when its on random...

..

Yes all of those guys are some of the best of fusion.
McLaughlin did some stuff with Patricia Barber where she was doing some kind of chant vocal and he was doing adlib on guitar. It was amazing what he came up with that made it work. I don't recall the name of the recording or I'd own it.:grumpy:

I've got a couple King Crimson cd's in my car, Hendrix, Dylan, Zappa and it must be the weather I've been hittin up Peter Tosh lately.

Such sad news :( RIP Oderus

This is why you go see bands when you can. Their all dying. Was just watching alot of gwar vids on youtube lately was thinking I want to see them. He's unreplacable. Even if they do it will never be the same. Smoot died to not too long ago but he was replacement from the original. Recently found out jeff hanneman died too. Everybodies dying, dying, dying. Top five favorite singers ever. Maybe he's not dead and aliens just replaced his body with a clone and took where he was meant to be in vast regions of limitless space and time. I really don't think he's dead. Got abudcted by the FEDs cause he spoke to many truths about this mud ball planet and they rocketed him up to Uranus. He's not dead there's something wrong with it all.
