The dude buys 27 of them for $160/ea shipped, give or take. What do you think going rate will be in 3 weeks? $220? $250 even? The guy could theoretically trade his original-purchase-price skeletons for original-purchase-price whatever INFI. The outrageous prices for other knives seem silly to him (or her - I'm betting it was Amy all along) because he's gonna "buy" them at a 30% discount when you factor in the trade.

The fact that trades happen in the most cases behind the scenes, the "sellers" may never see that the same dude is trading a ton of INFI out there.

I'm not saying that happened. But it COULD happen. Heck, the dude could then sell away the ill-gotten booty (or ill-booten gotti - props to MASH) and collect his 30% profit.

To ME, it seems like a ton of work, but one guy working hard for a few weeks COULD score a grand or two in all of this. And that grand-or-two profit can then fund other Busse purchases. Like several FBMLE's.

Again, I really don't care all that much. I'm glad someone DID buy out all the Skeletons on me. It doesn't fit me but I get caught up in the bums-rush to buy stuff. And I'd not spend all that work for that money. I can make more working at my regular job. But I do specialize is specyalatin. ;)
 
the guy did buy them over three different orders through out the day. many people buy at least two of them, one for their collection and one for a user.
i know some hogs bought them for christmas presents.
jerry made the skeleton warden a killer deal at $157.00 and we have ordered many more :thumbup:

I'm not gonna hide, but I feel that I oughta give some 'xplainin', and try to convince y'all that I'm not in it for the money, because I'm not. That's not what motivated me. I'm a collector...

In my first attempt to buy anything from the BCS, I got 5 SGW's and a 'smoggie'. Not as many as I'd hoped, but successful for a first attempt. I checked again early Sun. morning and there was more! I snagged another 11. Apparently 20+ others had stuffed their checkout carts but never checked out. idahoskunk nuked the open orders. Later Sunday, I checked again and AGAIN there they were! I thought, "Why did everybody post about how hard it is to buy from the store??? There must be hundreds!" So... I grabbed more. I guess I overestimated the quantity by how easy it was to get 3 orders in. :o

I guess that it's easy to say that the one who got 27 is in for the profit when you don't actually know me. Hey, not your fault, you only see what is visible. I'm not in it to make the quick buck. Granted, I don't want to go broke getting into collecting Busse's, but I grabbed extras in hope of using them, in addition to cash, for some trading to get a chance at other Busse's that I missed, especially smaller bladed ones...Wardens, Duty's , Streets, etc. One's money only goes so far when buying from the Exchange, and I need some trading stock.
ALSO, I want to use a few, because I can't seem to bring myself to use any of the one's I paid top dollar for, and 'satinize' more than a few if it looks good... I wuz reading about the sandpaper satinizing trick and want to try it. Also thought about trying to add thumb and reverse grip traction, grooves, whatever... Bottle opener?
Some are presents. 'Tis the season!
Some will go into the 'safe' for awhile.

Will you see these on eBay? Not from my stash, unless I gave up another for a worthy cause through eBay's MissionFish charitable auction site thingy, and only offered up for 100% charity. AT LEAST ONE BF.com MEMBER knows MY eBay ID... And I say keep checking if ya want!
