Hogs Continue To Violate!!!

The SGW's were not all that hard to get. I scored two with a sluggish dialup connection (was away from home) and could have gotten many more had I wanted. For some reason, 8 showed up in my cart when I thought I'd just gotten two.

And I kept seeing them for a good while after they first went up. I'm pretty sure *I* could have bought 27 if I had so desired.

Hmmmm...

27 SGWs = 4239.00
1 SMOG = 217.00
shipping = 14.95 (at least)

$4,470.95 Total. Now that's pretty Hoggish! And a decent night's work! :D
 
No offense to anyone, but I still think their should be a reasonable limit set on purchases of knives from the trough. Afterall, they are highly collectible as well as highly popular users. I'm noy saying there is anything wrong with someone trying to make a buck, I just think everyone should have a better chance to get in on one at regular price. I tried countless times with no luck, bad timing I guess. No big deal I'll grab something else down the road. Just my 2 cents.
 
Jaxx does not need to explain. He simply got there first. I have no problem with that...though the level of resources and planning is impressive.

After all, they've ordered more. I'll be ready (at least, as ready as my schedule will allow).

C'mon, Highway, this is America, Home of the free enterprise! You can't expect Busse to set LIMITS on what they sell, or how many to each... What IF I WAS BUYING for a SAR team, or a police dept, or co-workers? Military units? ...AND I might be doing THAT next time, so MIND the store and you'll get yours! Chance favors the prepared, so prepare! I certainly won't be trying to out HOG @ at the trough EVERY time.. This wuz my FIRST time to score, and I admit that I got hoggish... BUT I'M GIVING ONE OF 'EM AWAY!!! ENTER my "TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY" giveaway contest. AND besides, I don't think that we've seen the last of the Skeleton GW's at the store.

Guys, I'm not finding fault with Jaxx, just stating opinion. Initially there were multiple people making similar statements as to limiting purchases etc, I'm not saying this will ever happen, it would simply allow more people to get in on a piece of INFI from the trough as they go real fast. Normal orders don't apply to this thought because everyone has plenty of time to get in on it. If the same guy bought every last SGW or other knife that came up in the trough because he happened to be right on the money each time they came up (ie; Bill Gates monopoly) would anyone think differently if none of us on this forum had a chance to get one and the only way to get one was to pay an inflated price? This is an example only and I'm not referring to any specific individual, but it could happen and we'd all be forced to pay above retail, it would suck right?? Just food for thought guys.
 
Just to add in, obviously if someone was making the large purchase for a "unit" it is a different animal all together and Jaxx if you are starting a "unit" let me know I'll put in my application and will be waiting for my SGW :rolleyes:

Skunk, I try man, but with my wife screaming in the back ground as to why I am on thet @%^* computer so much it's tough, especially if she knows I'm buying something, lol.

Highway, Don't FORGET to CHEW on THOSE who LOADED THEIR 'SHOPPING CART's full of SGW's but NEGLECTED TO CHECKOUT... THAT to me IS MORE MESSED UP. AT LEAST I immediately puchased mine! I think THAT may have infuenced your 'luck ' @ The Trough more than me. I did place an order for a smaller number EACH of the 3 times I saw them listed, and only got 5 the first time. I got HOGgish later on! IF everyone had 'checked out' their 'carts' like they should've, I would've had only 5 SGW's and a SMOG. JUST my $0.02 worth. :) ~~~~~> And idahoskunk can easily verify that statement... I have all my order #'s handy. :D

hey wait a second, i grabbed extras in my cart for you guys, once i saw you had yours i dumped the 3 i didnt want. i only had them for a few minutes.:(

I use to have a situation like that... I got rid of it for good:thumbup:
 
Sour grapes is not a valid reson to change anything.

Strike while de iron is hot. If dial up is the problem, then why not get fast internet? If you are too busy to buy one yourself, get someone to nab them for you. (plenty of folks do this)
If you are not willing to try for a knife, then you deserve to pay the aftermarket premiums.
