^^^^^^^^Is this the one you mean???

4 inches or glorious choilless INFI. If it were to ever make it into production, I'd buy another. It is perfect.

The BATAC has always been my go to, but now it is my oldest son's. I would give just about anything I have for a BA III (my Grail). If I were wishing for something not made, it would be a Fiddleback/Busse Bushcrafter.

I take a different approach to knives.

I don't seek out the perfect knife. I buy a good knife (like my GW), and I use it and use it and use it until I become accustom to its flaws and imperfections - which, as it turns out, are few.

I find that I'm more satisfied when I limit my options. There's something known as the "Paradox of Choice."

Check this out, if ya'll got time:

Here's my favorites in that size range, Wiener Dog, HCLE 4", Meaner

Overall I would say the 4" HCLE is my #1

My RMD is my big knife... And I love my War Dog, except for the choil. Plus the two are very close in size.

I recently picked up a KE Bushie from Andy Roy for all the tasks you describe. I haven't had much chance to use it yet (but I try it out as often as I can.) All I can say is "Wow". The man does amazing work. Balance, ergos, blade shape, grind, F&F are all top notch.
Keep an eye out for Fiddleback Fridays. He often has a hunter or two (has one now - also check out his Woodsman!); but you may want to consider one of his bushcrafters or bushfingers.

I think the BAD as an all around great woods knife. It's light, thin, sharp, and nimble. The CABS is also a great choice. I also like my Fiddleback Recluse and Bushfinger

All summer working outside I carried a BK4, SY711, SR Custom shop RS, and a BK11. I EDC the BK11 but have been looking for something new lately. I would love a Vex but have been craving a Pork Shank and need another SK since I gave mine to my wife... I might just wait for the Anniversary Taliwhacker to hit tho....

I spend almost every weekend hiking in the wilderness with an Esee6(with aftermartket scales) on it. It's such a light weight option that is still capable of allowing me to do so many tasks with it. I want to get a Ratmandu to try on for size as well, but haven't got one yet.

If I am out on something with a motor(Quad or hunting truck) I take an NMSFNO, partnered up with a small folder like a Benchmade Griptillian. Awesome combo when weight isn't a huge issue.

CABS for me. Not overbuilt, but certainly not skimpy by any means.

Here it is in a universal Sharpshooter sheath.

I´m sorry to part from what you said, bushcrafting is synonimous with small skandinavian knife, but I have to suggest based on my experience I hope you don´t mind.

IMO, I suggest a long, thin, light blade, a long knife can do everything a small can, but not otherwise, and lets face it, a big knife will widely benefit from INFI, a small one...not so much.

I have never used the BWM, but I have widely used the RTAK II, and i find it fantastic.

MY suggestion is go for the BUSHWACKER MISTRESS ....here´s a pic.
