Hogue/Elishewitz EX01 review and pics. (you will want this knife)

Here is picture right before the lock is engaged. Notice the 180 degree trough that the locking bolt slips into. Everything is heat treated and robust. The locking bolt is huge. All components are between two heat treated SS bolster plates. Notice how big the blade stop pin is. It is a over engineered extreme use knife.

I BOUGHT WITH BLACK G10, it should soon come to me after reading your review I'm waiting for it eagerly, brother.

Oh great!

Another knife I gotta buy.

Oh well.... whatcha gonna do?

Nice review & pictures.

I really like Elishewitz's work.

Finally, I got a knife! I'm a little surprised by his size but he is determined to like. I think it will be my EDC. Now I wear the BM 551 and IZULA.

However, there is a slight problem which I was very sad. I am afraid that some of the cutting edge of the ball crashed during grinding in the plant. I think it burned. Unfortunately I can not make good photos. Friends I need your opinion on this matter.

Cool knife, I'd try to clean it. Am I being obtuse?

Maybe when I sharpen it, it disappears. But I am afraid because of the high temperature metal changed their properties.

It's a shame you live so far away. How much to ship it back for replacement? Have you even contacted the seller about this?

Khtima, what do you sharpen with?

I personally use the edge pro, and when coming across an edge like that I just sharpen the burned metal away. If you don't have the equipment to do that then I understand that you'd be disappointed. But, the metal behind the burn marks (if that's what it is) should be fine.

Sending a dealer will cost about 30 dollars and takes a couple of months. To pay so much and I do not want to wait. I wrote the company to the manufacturer, I do not need replacement, I hope they are more such mistakes will not be tolerated.

Unfortunately I can not buy a sharpener as yours. It is too expensive. Their knives, I tochu using triangle. Then I use paper and a paste of chromium oxide. Buy a good leather belt, and do I have yet to receive.

i have the 4 inch aluminum tanto and i love it. the blade is impressive and the aluminum feels great.

Great photos, and a fine looking knife. It looks like it could be a real work horse edc knife, thanks for the post.

Oh man you probably just cost me some money

Well you did it, you cost me some money. I got the 4" drop point with green gmascus. Very well built. My safety lock when engaged will still allow the unlock button to be depressed a small amount. Anyone noticed that. Or is that the way its supposed to be.
