It's that time of year again where everyone's waist line gets a little bit bigger, belts need to be loosened and no one wants to step foot near a scales. Christmas is a little over two weeks away and the smell of the holidays is filling up my house. I know its early, but when you have the Busse shop to try out your new recipes on, its always a good idea to start baking a little early. ;) I've been baking cookies for a few days, tonight is gingerbread cookies and I'm thinking that I'll have to use something a little different to cut out my gingerbread men. I'm thinking that maybe my MBC will do the job quite nicely. What knife would you recommend? What knives you guys and gals use when you're baking and decorating delicious goodies?

Once I get the cookies all baked and decorated, I'll be sure to post some pictures of the event and let you know how well Busse rocks when it comes to cutting out cookies. I'm sure that my gingerbread men might turn into an angry mob of zombies by the time that I finally figure out how I'm supposed to cut the men out freehand instead of using a press and go cookie cutter.

I dont care what they look like as long as you bring some to the shop for me.

Just because of your cooking, I wish I was related to you just so those delicious cake balls and cookies would jump in my mouth around the holidays

Plus, you're awesome ;)

Our holiday tradition is RumBalls! Love them…can't wait to make some.

Lora, gonna share any recipes with us?

Mmmmm Lora's cookies are ALWAYS amazing. . . . I am also excited for the holiday season just because Lora brings in food for us to try. ;)

Ginger Cookies are my absolute favourite of any kind of cookie/biscuit ...ever....for good... I want to be burried with some !!!!! So much so I even learned how to bake a simple version for myself as a teenager (I live alone from 15 so if I didn't bake 'em no one would)... :D :D :D

My guess is the MBC will be a great cookie cutter, my wife said the NMFSHLE was a bit awkward for cookie cutting.

Here she is making SFNOLE ginger cookies.

Last night I made the dough for gingerbread cookies but the recipe I have calls for the dough to sit in the refrigerator over night. So in the mean time, I made blueberry mini muffins.

I did decide that I should do the 12 Days of Christmas thing though. I'm going to do my own version of it, and it will be called the 12 Treats of Christmas. Everyone in the shop is sure to gain some weight by the time that I'm done with this holiday season :D:cool:
