Holy BK20 Bundok Beckerman!

I was able to get my order in, thanks to the info provided in this thread. Thanks guys, can't wait to get this beast in my hands.:D

4 more days for the 2nd to arrive . Why does that seem like such along time ? Cause it's already been 3 days since I placed the order. Oh well that's what I get for being the cheap guy I'am.

Loving the ZigZag!

I received my Ka-Bar care package today. VERY happy with the contents. Wicked, hair shaving sharp right outtta da box !!!Good job on this Ethan & Kabar.

It would have been nice if they were numbered but if they never make one exactly like the 20 again the point is moot

It is well worth the wait. that combo is the best set I have ever received!

I got mine too, Can't wait. Since it was used as a clearing/fighting knife, I wonder how it will work as a summer long knife to go through the brush, or will it be too heavy. On occasion I like using my BK-4 which I teamed up with my BK-5 as my Lite Carry. Actually no bad. Infact my BK-5 does everything I can do with my BK-7 and I like the choil too.

tjs... I think nuto was indicating that he was cornering the market and that was his second (of ?) BK20 personally. Thanks for the bump on the scales. I like that ivory/bone look.

Sorry. Old reference to The Prisoner.

No pics yet, but I took my thick-in-the middle homemade micarta scales off the 7 and put 'em on the BB.
Man o man, I just wanna go swing that thing.

I did notice the handle isn't identically sized. Not only is it thicker (duh - .265 vs .185), but the ground-to-fit 7 scales are just enough smaller than the 20 handle that I can feel the steel slightly proud of the phenolic. Fortunately, it's a smooth transition and just blends into the overall aesthetic as well as shape.

The grivory BK20 scales stick out on both sides of the BK7 at both top and bottom, and just feel weird.

I wonder if anybody has had a similar experience with off-the-shelf aftermarket scales. Or did I grind away a lot more BK7 handle than I thought???
(I haven't tried swapping with the unmodded 9 or factory-fresh 4, or 5 yet. So that could be telling.)

Who is number one?

Bump for answer to scales question.
