If you could pick any knife in the world, regardless of Cost, as your EDC, which one would you pick?

Thats tough as hell... But perhaps a Ti Demko AD10 with compound grind or a Mick Strider Performance SNG/SMF. Nothing too "special" but seems to be great EDC knives

Version One - Spyderco Gayle Bradley, my EDC. Feels and cuts good for me. I think I paid about $130 for it.

If you have never seen and are not familiar with the Gayle Bradley, here is a great video by the designer.

If you have never been to a knife cutting contest you are missing some amazing cutting. Here is a video narrated by Gayle Bradley, one of the judges.

The Benchmade mini-grip is my main current EDC, and really really close to perfect. If I had the cash, I would spring for a Southern Grind Spider monkey with carbon fiber scales, or a Benchmade 940 with green aluminum handle.

I already have it.
Large BG-42 Regular Sebenza.

Had plenty of customs, and still have some, have handled many at Blade since around year 2000, and I still prefer the Large Regular over anything I've ever held, or used.

Doesn't exist unfortunately. Nothing quite fits my wish list as yet. Take a Mnandi, make it with the original OHO ridge and FFG and yeah it would be close. :D

I would stay with the one I have, a LionSteel SR 1.
Second choice, my LionSteel SR 2.

Chris Reeve is the pinnacle of folding knives, for me. This new Large Inkosi that I got it hands down my favorite folder that I've owned.

This one...my Brad Southard AVO with wondrous custom touches by Josh of REK...

Mine hasn't been made yet!! I like small thin flippers. About the size of my CRK small Sebenza with the flipper action of ZT 900 but less chunky in the pocket. Someone will do it someday...

What a difficult question to answer!

It's a tie between my
Marfione MSG 3
Large regular bg42
Xm18
Any Gerry McGinnis folder.

Mine is my 21 starbenza. All around perfect, grippy, built like a tank and sits well in my pocket.

For an every day knife . . .one or another of the Chris Reeve folders.

I would like to have (but not for EDC) one of Darral Ralph's semi-custom folders , perhaps with a Damascus blade. Perhaps what I would really like would be to have the ability to buy one.

Did you ever see Indiana Jones and the scene about choosing the grail?

Somewhat seriously, I think Bob Loveless pretty much nailed it with this quote...

A knife is a tool, and if we don't treat our tools with a certain familiar contempt, we lose perspective. - Bob Loveless

For me (and me alone and YMMV), when a knife becomes so dear to me to that I can no longer treat it with "a certain familiar contempt", I no longer feel in harmony with the knife. It has begun to own me, not the other way around. I learned this skiing with some hard chargers, who had a saying, "All skis are rock skis". It's very freeing to treat tools with contempt and I don't ever want to be burdened with a knife I fear loosing or breaking.
