Holy Grails.

One of these days I'll randomly stop in a pawn shop on a whim and they'll have one of these for $50.

We better call Sal and tell him he forgot to drill a hole in one.

As for a grail, I miss my K2 and I would like to try a Province but I don’t have any Spyderco grail knives. I want stuff I can use, not collect.

Plain-edge Bram Frank Gunting. S30V.

Not a recent or current model, of course!

I bought mine when it was a current model, at a normal price. They were never common, even when available new, but it was not an arduous quest. I simply had to pay attention, to available stock. I also have several of the other edge and steel configurations of the Gunting. They are not safe queens. I am extra-careful with the rare PE S30V.

are we ever satisfied? Is there a grail of grails?
As a knife nut, I've chased grails, only to start looking for something else when I think I have gotten it, or thinking it's too nice or too expensive to carry.
I guess maybe it's the pursuit that drives us
I carry a Sage 5 LW, which checks a lot of boxes for me or a Zome Delica 20CV or a Para 3 Spy27 most days, seem to rotate through those three, I guess the para 3 spy27 was a grail and they are still hard to find, I'll probably get a second one when they are available again.
I put a Lynch wire clip replacement on the para 3 and it's like a new knife to me, it's in my pocket today. I always seem to always circle back to a Spyderco though.
just rambling, thanks for reading if any of this makes any sense at all, and thank you Sal for making me want to carry your knives more than any other brand!

No, even though the name does imply that, for most of us its on to the next one we find out about.
