That would work for me. I guess if we're going with iconic models from iconic brands, I'd suggest:CRK Sebenza
Hindered Eklipse (yes, over the XM-18)
Koenig Arius
These knives are exceptional in design, quality, craftsmanship, usability, and aesthetics.
Well said , sirMeh, the "holy trinity" of knife manufacturers is whatever anyone wants it to be. Strider just doesn't deserve to be in the same sentence as any of the other makers. Fraud of a dude.
I’d go with my personal favorite Spyderco; Slysz Bowie. For those that mention Sal, and since the HT is referring to specific knife models, which Spyderco model do you suggest that is trinity worthy?
I wanted to continue this privately as I think we're on different pages here. Do you have direct message capability?I read it.
Free Speech.
Now, just be fair and reasonable as well as fearless. Nothing wrong with inspiring a Gentlemen's Disagreement. Afterall, Duels are not permissible here...haha

I'll step out of conversation to avoid the perception that I have some sort of ill-will.We're not going down that road here. And frankly, just because we have the right to say things, even hateful things, doesn't mean we should.
"Choose wisely" is not a bad dictum.
I won't support haters either...I don't care how talented they may or may not be.
Now, let's move along and talk about knives.
Personally, I have too many knives to promote a particular holy trinity.
Your choice. I'm not inferring anything. If I had something to say on that score, I would. Let's just keep it to the knives and everything will be chill.I'll step out of conversation to avoid the perception that I have some sort of ill-will.
He doesn't....based upon his membership category. Let's not pursue this further here...or you can leave a message on his profile if you wish.I wanted to continue this privately as I think we're on different pages here. Do you have direct message capability?
That's the only point I was going to make. I feel no hostility about this whatsoever and I wanted to make that clear. And frankly, just because we have the right to say things, even hateful things, doesn't mean we should.
I think you hit the nail on the head there. There are quite a few companies/manufacturers competing in the same niche now, any one of which you could make an argument for and many of which blend attributes of the “old” trinity.I don't believe the term is relavant today. It originated from a time when CRK , Hinderer and Strider stood out, makeing knives in a new catagory. Rather than a production or a custom they were making high end productions that had a lot of custom/ hand work. Today there are loads of high end production knives. The knife world has caught up with them and in some cases passed by them. Practically every custom maker now has a production line.
