Homage to the 2

That's a good lookin workhorse Eero! Very business-like.

I dunno K9, it's the neighbor's...he may have bought it new LOL. They sold their farm like 15 years back and moved to town...he has like 6 city lots there so he keeps the tractor to ''mow'' with.

the 2 was my first and still my favorite. i feel there's not much that can't be done with it and am not afraid to beat it like a redheaded stepchild.

If I didn't have too many projects I'd consider making a FFG BK2 clone out of 3/16"....
That would be so cool.

This thread is not helping.... I've already more than blown my knife budget for the year.

One more ~65 dollar BEAST won't kill ya. Just quit eating for a few days, and don't shower...the extra saving on your utilities will help.

:D

:D

That's a good point.... I could probably hike to work too. I might get a change to use it commuting then. :D

Pretty snazzy with the micarta! Who says the Beast can't also be the Beauty!

The 2 was my first as well. Just got done with some wood scales for it the other day. I have to say though I love my necker with the TDI clip. Small enough I have it clipped in my pocket no matter where I go.

You did a great job on those scales, Texas. They look good.

The mighty Beast was not my first Becker, even though it was the one that got me started on Beckers. Sound confusing? Let me explain :)
My Dad wanted to buy himself a nice knife for survival use in a backpacking scenario (:D) and asked me what brand he should get, as I'm the knife person in the family. He had his heart set on a Gerber, but I talked him out of it and into a Ka-Bar. I didn't know about the Becker line at the time, I just knew that I loved my 1217. He ended up surfing the interwebs for a Ka-Bar he liked for a good price, and ended up getting a bk2 on sale.I fell in love with the handle of it and went looking for information on it- ended up stumbling across this subforum. I lurked and lurked, read as much as I could, and ended up getting myself an 11. It's been downhill from there- although I currently have only three Beckers of my own. His 2 is still unused, sitting in a bag he never carries, neglected, screaming for love.

Funny little thing he said regarding Beckers- While batonning kindling with my 7,I commented on how I wanted him to try batonning with his 2 so that he'll know how to in a survival situation and he said (quote) "Why should I destroy my knife when you are already doing it?"
Ahhh, how little he knows aout Beckers. :D

I have never seen that knife...but the point mod is almost exact to mine LOL. He also did the handle mod I was considering. Must be a Gen1 BK2.

Thing looks fan freakin tastic though! great job to growling bear (whoever that may be)
