Here is my design, its pretty cheap to make and can take belts from 60 inches to about 100 inches and saves me a lot of money by buying cheap odd sized belts on ebay.

All painted and hard mounted to the bench finally. Only thing I've done you don't see is make some lever arms for the tensioning bolts for the tooling arms so I don't have to use a wrench or socket. I used some spray appliance epoxy paint which should be good and durable, but it was a pain in the _____ to work with and took forever to dry, but all in all i think it came out very good. I'm happy with it to say the least.

Got 12' of 1084 should be delivered to the house by the time I get home from Aldo's so it will be getting put through the paces here directly.

Edit: it is at the house..... :D

You can see in the second image the motor in the background. It's the white box and silver looking thing. Since it is a treadmill motor and it open to get metal dust pulled into it I took some home siding roll aluminum I had around the house and made a one piece box I broke, riveted the corners and cut a hole in one side the diameter of the motor and a hole in the top. I have a 4 prong automotive plug I can disconnect the motor from the system with so If I need to pull the box off the motor I can without having to cut it in pieces. On the hole on the top, I have an air filter assembly I had laying around from a small generator engine I siliconed in place with the inlet facing the rear and down to keep as much dust away from it as possible. It has an easily replaceable filter as well I added a prefilter and I epoxied some magnets inside the housing before the prefilter. I just duck taped the whole thing to the motor real good as it is very light weight. I didn't want to spend too much time making a mounting plate and seal as I have already realized I want to put a bigger motor on and a VFD becuase at only 1/5 HP roughly I'd like a little more power for when I need to hog off some material, but in the mean time, this is 1,000,000 times better then my 1x30 harbor freight.

Man I love it! Decided I'm SLOWLY gonna build me own. But this definitely helped me out. Looks like the pheer on steroids! Great job man

Where did you get the square tubing from? HD doesn't seem to have in 2inx 3/16

I have a steel supplier about a mile from my day job. They'll sell it as small as 5' increments of whatever they sell.

I'd personally try to find one near you, it will cost you a LOT less money. Home Depot is expensive for steel.
