IMHO ... If you can afford them ... and they aren't alot more expensive then alot of other brands anymore ... but EOTech halographic sights are hard to beat for a small package that offers very fast sight acquisition and they are well built also ... they are my personal preference
But there are alot of very good sights ... I prefer a halographic over a magnification or tube red dot ... especially for home defense where you won't be shooting any distance and quick sight acquisition is paramount.
A ViKtim! Plus a Sicilian lupara (12 gauge double-barreled hammer gun with 20-inch barrels), a 12 gauge Remington 870 with an extended magazine if I need more that 2 shots, as well as a 45 LC Colt SAA ("...yes Ma'am, I carry a .45 because Mr. Colt doesn't make a .46...").
For years our 2-gun home combo has been a Beretta 1201FP loaded with reduced recoil buckshot and a Glock17. The shotgun has a light attached to it and there's a flashlight stashed with the Glock.
My PWOC for home defense has been, since it was built, an AR-15 pistol, 8.5" barrel, Eotech XPS-2 with Odin Works floater and stop, Inforce WMLx momentary light and a 30rd Magpull magazine.
Since I'm in Canada defending my home with a firearm essentially out of the question. Therefore if I was forced to defend my home I am going with bearspray + extendo, always a classic.
You guys already named off all my weapons and my stash places, so I won't but, I have two little yappy Chihuahua's that will take you off at the ankles, if you come into any window or door of my house! You don't have a chance in hell! They chew like beavers! Haaaaa!!!
I expect my CZ Bren 805 with an Aimpoint PRO and WML will get promoted to primary HD/zombie duty once I have a chance to run a few hundred rounds through it.
