Incorrect. Sorry.
All of my cordless power tools are Dewalt. When they quit, or I get tired of buying expensive replacement batteries, then I'll switch to Ridgid. Why? Because Ridgid's power tool, INCLUDING THE BATTERIES are lifetime warranted by HD. This is directly off of the box of their tools, and from the mouth of the local HD manager.
What a deal!
Hm, interesting I may check out Rigid later, hope they make Li-ion, cause it's all I use for it's light weight and better charging capacity. Currently my cordlesses are lithinum 18V Makita impact driver and lithinum V28 Milwaukee drill and reciprocating saw. I bought neither one of them at Home Depot, but I use them hard and really like them. I did have a problem with one of the Makita's batteries, that I had to replace due to it's failure, costed me $55
