Thanks mforge!
I have made a few changes since i got it running: i raised the ram guide support arm as the top of the top die was hitting the ram guide, so i cut it off and raised it 4". That helped with some of the noise and rocking.
Today i got more steel from salvage yard and welded together an ancil from 1.5" plate, it weighs about 450 lbs, wich is just about right with a 42 lb ram. Added a bottmom die from the top rail of a rr track. Quieted it down alot! As there isnt the really loud rining from my old anvil, and the rocking is even less!
Next is to reweld the upright since im pretty sure its good where it is and fill it with sand. That should make the small rock it has go away, and deaded any sound from the upright.
Then make a nice treadle, and any mor little tweaks, and a die system to be able to switch out dies, and maybe bolts it to the floor.
I did forge down some 1" 52100 with it last night, man is it nice for that! Its going to really save on my arm when done!
