The thing about it is, the sak is not just a knife, but a tool for all those little emergency's that pop up in life. As muc as I've used my sak for slicing open a UPS package or cutting something, it's the times it's saved me some big hastle by being a tool. Like the time out on a very big long twisting Canadian lake, and the twist grip on the Minnicota trolling motor on the canoe started to come appart, leaving us with a long hard paddle against the wind back to the boat rental place at the other end of the lake. With a sak, I was able to get the screws tightened up back in their holes they were working out of, and motor back.
Then there was the time my Vespa motorscooter started to miss and sputter, and then died out on a country road way out in the boonies. No lights, no horn so I knew it was electical. Going to the battery to work my way up from there, I found the positive cable had worked loose. Fixed it with my sak in a few seconds and was on the way again. Things like that. And then there were all those cold Corona's at the picnic that needed to be opened, and nobody had a opener. Thank GOd for sak's.
Carl.
