I like your granite "egg"!! Nice (Steri) knife, also!!
Sometimes a knife with less gives so much more, and imo this Knife is a brilliant example of that, beautiful flowing curve, letting the beauty of the Horn do the job without anything else added to the Knife- and the Blade shape and Handle compliment each other very well- this Knife is gorgeous.

Thank you! Italians really have excellent design aesthetics and it helps when you use good materials!Sometimes a knife with less gives so much more, and imo this Knife is a brilliant example of that, beautiful flowing curve, letting the beauty of the Horn do the job without anything else added to the Knife- and the Blade shape and Handle compliment each other very well- this Knife is gorgeous.
No it was clay coated during heat treat, what I call a working hamon because I don’t spend a lot of time chasing it. Consequently, seems pretty durable since its not highly polished. Kinda rustic. Thanks! This is awesome, Dave! Is that a weird shadow on the blade?
Your work is stunning my friend, I have always liked looking at your Knives and the skill set involved- amazing! I note that you have a style to your Knives - and that's a great thing! Out of curiosity - have you ever done a big Bowie or a Big camp knife? ( I hope I don't offend in any way whatsoever in asking the question ).Horn and ironwood:
