Hornswoggled!

Even though my lifestyle doesn't call for a fixed blade knife very often, I am quite proud to have that nice example of your work, Dave!! With its wonderful leather sheath it is a true work of art!!

A good decade or so ago I’d been bitten hard by the modified Spyderco scene (hope these are still allowed here?).
Never one for the stock scales nor the “tech look” I always opted for natural materials.

Here’s a Ram’s horn Pingo I was commissioned to do. Rather pleased with the outcome and very fitting for the “sheepfoot” blade.

Cream colored cow horn is the rarest and my most desired. The Gobbo knife is one of my favorite patterns, each maker has their differences and despite Fontani not being the best manufacturer, their version of this very old pattern is still one of the best.

Appearances can be deceiving..... The handle is still a solid piece of horn!

Great job.👌......Horn and skin....👍👍👍.......Lotsa elbow action there on that sheath..... Great pattern stamped on it👌
Thank you sir! The rest of the story:

It was our daughter's birthday few days ago and her aunt hosted a private teppan dinner for her. Brother Bill who owns the bolo was there. So we brought it all wrapped up to give it to him. He liked it:

Some of you may recognize Brother Bill as our ranch cook. Here he's serving the birthday girl a few years ago:

My next project I’m working through is replacing what was delrin with some buffalo horn on this old Queen half-congress. Learning that it’s a bit easier to get chips while drilling holes than I expected, but still just gonna work through it and see how it comes out.

Top one is obviously only rough-finished while the bottom one is pretty much mostly done.
