Kinda some interesting stuff going on lately. Will finally get that batch of 26C3 blades headed off to heat treat today. Just a few left to stamp with my makers mark and then they are done. I'll be doing a few leather working round knives in this batch too and marked one so they will know where to put the clay during heat treat. During the profiling stage:
Clay line on a roundknife:
Finished off a pair of leggings for a young cowboy in CO:
Worked on five sets of reins for prizes for The Harney County Ranch Rodeo up in OR. That was big project:
Oiled and drying in the sun:
Making the water ties:
Attaching the water ties. Right side water tie is branded:

To go with this order:
Another overlay water buffalo belt, a Leatherman Wave sheath and a card wallet.
Hope that all the fathers had a great Father's Day. We had filet and ribeyes, crab legs, mash potatoes and green beans:
Day before Father's Day Nichole was in another lil horseshow. She's still using my horse as her's has a couple of weeks more of recovery on a ligament strain. Here's me on Spud:
Nichole was teaching Spud the patterns they would have to ride:
Our friends were over Grant and Jessica were over one evening helping her get ready.
Our friend Cheryl was also in the show and did very well. Cheryl recently bought her first Horsewright knife. She was telling me how useful in day to day life it is. I'd not seen anyone carry a Pancake like that before but it works for her:
Nichole did great. Took one first and three seconds. That was enough to get her the high point award (the handmade snaffle bit she's holding if you look close), for her division. I didn't get any pics of her riding because I was video taping. All the ribbon winners:
