they are ok for range use, but for combat use you can find better. if its for a carbine and you want a nonmagnified optic, i like aimpoint. much longer battery life 50,000hrs vs eotech 800hr. they are also sturdier. if it were me i'd go aimpoint with a 2 moa dot like and ml3. save your money and dont get the nightvision model unless you really need it. (it limits the number of daylight settings you get). acogs are great too, but twice the $$$

+1:thumbup:

When I went for my AR the other day I discovered I had left my aimpoint on.....for 4 months...with no noticable change.

I was just wondering about spyderco today. A girl at work said she wanted to get a knife. Spyderco, Kershaw and Buck were the first things that popped to mind?

Is spyderco good for a 40-50 dollar range knife?

Assisted?

I sometimes carry a waved Delica. It is sheeple friendly and open quickly.

You could probably find a pink leek, I gave my sister an orange OD-1 and she seems to like it pretty well, but the OD-1 isn't assisted. Of course there's always the RAM it opens up so fast and smooth you'd think it's assisted.

I used some Flitz on a strop a couple of weeks ago....worked great...never used a strop before that.

What about a mini griptillian?
