so Nick receiveed a JRE strop in the mail from a generous Hortonite. Thank you very much. This strop bat is a beast!! If he can't get the knife sharp with it, he could probably just carry the strop bat as a defensive weapon :)

Tom, nice set up!
.

Hortonites are good people!!....and I will scrap with the person that says otherwise.

Brian and Pauli, what length barrels did , or in Paulis case do, you have on your 686?

What I like the most about it, other than it is most accurate revover, is that I can shoot .38 all day on the cheap.

Pepper.

Mine is the unfluted 5" -6 or -7 (Seven Shot). I know older models are better but this one is accurate.

After shooting Glock 27 in .40 switching to .38 feels like a pop gun especially with his feather loads. Something like 3.0grain of clays under 148gr wadcutter that my friend loads.

Hey Pepper,

Do you have time to give me some insight on how you get such nice finishes on your Horton's?

Thanks,

Kevin

today was a good day. Gus' first hunt and he did great for only 8 months. He only did one retrieve because there was only one duck, but I'd take today over a limit any day of the week.

I had a 6" barrel with a custom barrel weight and a nice action job. Did I mention I really regret selling it.:o

Thanks, guys.

Gun is a Brown Class-A commander, precursor to the Executive Carry, 4.25" barrel. Top knife IS a NO-E, with S.O.B rig (Small Of the Back).

THanks Richstag!

It carries well, feels like a back support when I sit down, just need to keep my shirt from bunching up around it. It has a sharp angle that helps a lot:
