THanks Richstag!

It carries well, feels like a back support when I sit down, just need to keep my shirt from bunching up around it. It has a sharp angle that helps a lot:

Nice, love the Ergo's. :thumbup::thumbup:

OK, this is probably a stupid question , so bear with me. Is it convex? It almost looks like a V.

.
I have been a ''V'' grinder for a long time and recently finished with a strop, still a ''V'' however. I initially made it dull by causing a micro bevel, lifting the spine too much,went back to my DMT diamond and then back to the strop but with a lower angle. This worked much better.

It's convex. Since I learned to convex-sharpen, I haven't done anything else.

I used stones and v-grinds for 20+ years as a chef, but not any more!

Convex

* takes less time, especially for a major reprofile

* requires little apparatus: sandpaper, strop, some compound ( I mostly use Mother's Mag Polish)

* Is more forgiving of differing angles. Keeping the same angle w' stones is critical.

* yields (for me) a sharper, longer-lasting, and easier maintained edge.

* chops wood better

* slices rope better
