They (4Sevens) are saying around 300 led lumens and around 230 out the front lumens. The increased efficiency of the emitter, I think, is spread between the increased lumens and run time. It is definitely much brighter than my normal Quark. I programed my 2 settings for strobe and maximum output. If you are comparing it to something like a Surefire 6P-LED, the Quark will crush it.

You will be impressed.

Pauli, try the strobe.

Will do.

The gear queer is strong this week.

Is this the Turbo model that is 230?

I never understood the flashlight thing. Anybody care to explain? Arethese things that much better than any other flashlight?

Yes. If you are using a standard Mag Light or similar, you will be impressed by the brightness levels these small lights are capable of.

This light at the link below is a pretty good value if you want to see what it's all about

Its the Titanium Limited Cr123 Quark model. I have been swearing by Surefire until recently - this is my first non SF light. I'm curious about it according to Brian I should like it.

Pauli.

If you really want to see a normal light "outshined" pick up a wiseLed 1500 or 2000 Tactical.

I bought a couple based on Brian's suggestion, and really like them. I bought the tacti versions of both the single and double 123 - set my wife's and daughter's up just like Brian did for high on primary and strobe on secondary function -

Now I'm thinking "Turbo":D

If you haven't tried the Malkoff surefire upgrade - you should consider it

230 lumens / 400 lumens / or 500 lumens  from a 6P

I couldn't even read the rest of the thread before I had to get this one.

BullS#it!!!

I like Lesnar, but he would get put down by Fedor!

Fedor has speed, aggression, technique (that 95% of the ufc never could have) and he would show what a clown Lesnar and EVERY other heavy weight in the UFC is.

They (UFC) are good, but not "Beat Fedor" good.

thats the same thing everyone said about shogun, crocop, and wanderlei silva. "they are gonna clean house in the ufc". aside from shogun's saturday fight, they have all been bombs. same thing would happen to fedor.

:eek: - What is the Malkoff upgrade?

i have owned eotechs and they are decent. the battery life/auto shutoff/ and numerous catastrophic failure reports made me shitcan mine before I had a problem with it. i think as far as reddots go, it is a close second but aimpoints are tough to beat. if i remember right B, you wear glasses, so the clip i snagged from eotechs website might also be a concern.

"If you require corrective lenses (glasses or contacts) to see things clearly at a distance, you will need them to see the reticle clearly. Remember, the reticle is actually projected out to your target plane, so you will see it like anything else at that distance. Also, if you have astigmatism or use bifocals, you may see the image less distinctly." from eotechs website

It hurts my eyes.

Bruce, I have 3 Malkoffs and love them, especially the 500 lumen one. Most people don't want to spend $125 for a 500 lumen drop in, and then buy a flashlight. The 235 lumen M30, for $55 is a steal though (love it). It has a great combination of throw and spill.

From a 6p. Holy moly,, might have to look into that for my X200

If your X200 takes 6p takes 6P drop ins, let me know. I have a Malkoff I'm not using currently.

I was so impressed when I got the Malkoff upgrade that I immediately ordered one for a second 6P that I have

I already have LaRue mounts for the 6P's as well, so $55 X 2 was a no brainer for me

Thanks for the info guys.

Looks like I need to get a 6P and try the 400 or 500 Lumens upgrade.

This is the 500 lumen upgrade I have.

I like the cool LEDs, theit warm MC-E is "only" 400 lumens, but everyone has their cool or warm preference. All their MC-Es have a 20 degree flood optic, so you will not "light things up" at 100 yards. They are designed for room clearing or outside up to 100' for optimum use, IMO. If you want a combination of throw and spill, get one of the 235 lumen ones.
