Horton Knives....FIREARMS CHAT THREAD 3

^^is that an old sidearm from the Spanish police ?

Does it still fire ? What's the calibre ?

Coo' mang,,, I like it

It was selected in August 1921 to be the new standard issue sidearm of the Spanish Armed Forces. It remained the standard issue sidearm until 1946 when it was replaced by the Star Model A
Caliber is 9mm Largo (23mm long)
Still fires and its in perfect condition.
Pain in the ass to clean it.

The round was considered powerful for the day, producing a muzzle energy of between 330–430 foot-pounds depending on the loading but for today 9mm Largo's performance is lower than the 9x19mm

Picked this one up last week, the price was too good to pass it up.
From what I have found it is an early import, only markings are made in china.
It looks and feels exactly like my old norinco polytech.
came with 2 30's one in the wrapper and a 75rnd drum.
Im psyched to be back in the AK game......I'm even more psyched for the Horton Folder
*Jeremy Im sorry for posting a non Horton blade in the pics on your site but it is all I have at the moment.
Enjoy

Gotta try one. I hope Tom the Baker doesn't see this. I'm thinking of getting a RMR and seeing a picture of his setup might put me over the top.:o:D

Had a chance to play with these a few weeks ago.
The mini UZI was the best
