Can you give me the run down on plate quenching? what are the benefits over some of the other methods

Relative gave it to me. No markings on it. Looks like it was made out of a Saw. Pretty thin and light weight. Probably just a home job. The sheath is kind of cool though. :thumbup:
 
I love the stitching on that sheath Trukrel. Unique blade as well. I guess one could call it a sife or a knaw.
