hey ya'll, if at anytime i get on a rant like my last post, feel free to tell me to shut my trap. i sincerely hope i don't come off like a "know-it-all" because I'm no expert. i just give my opinions on things that work/don't work for me and others i've worked with. these are just my humble opinions. carry on :)

I like wind, when something is in it and this has plenty. I'll start with the BCG from bravocompany as that will solve two things at once.
The rest I will digest tomorrow.

Thanks man, I really appreciate it!!

.....And double thanks for the staking offer, I may just use my old one as back up so it should still be staked properly.

Hey Pepper, I have a MOACKS your more than welcome to use Maine. Pretty easy, I staked all my bolts with it. :)

check this site for a tool called moacks. http://www.m-guns.com/tools.phpthere are a couple versions that will let you stake your own carrier key. one version doubles as carbon scrapers and gas tube pullers. if a gunsmith charges you more than $10 to stake your carrier key, tell him to pound sand. if nothing else, send it to me and i'll do it.

heres a good BCG http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/BCM-Bolt-Carrier-Group-MPI-Auto-M16-p/bcm%20bolt%20carrier%20group%20auto%20mp.htm
I like the auto ones, as it adds a little weight without having to buy a serparate heavy buffer.

magpul mags are good, as are brownells mags with magpul antitilt followers. you might want to check that magpul pmags drop free from your weapon before you buy a bunch. i had a problem with a couple metal mags because the parkerizing was so thick, but a touch up with sandpaper fixed that problem.

this is the sling i use on one rifle. love it! little spendy though

this is the sling i use on the entry rifle. not as secure(bangs you in the nuts if you drop it and try to move)but works for short periods like entries

you might be able to get off cheaper without sacrificing capabilities by checking out magpul MS2 sling or something from jerms buddy at SOE

sorry for the long-winded response:confused:

HOLY MACKEREL!
Did you have to stop for a power gel halfway through that post? :D

While searching hard for a King Gear Phag picture,I came across this,

GeekIII.jpg

thats not carto is it?

Mornin

You can own that but not an ak? How come?

Go figure  - believe it or not in 1996 Liberal government's the safety minister sat down with a copy of guns digest and banned on the scary looking ones. - its true.

Example.

We are allowed to own and hunt with M14 / M1A etc - .308 / Semi Auto / Mag Fed

We are not allowed to own (banned) FAL - .308 / Semi Auto / Mag Fed :confused:

AK family and variants are banned by name that includes AK / RPK / PKM / Dragunov....:mad: - which I would love to own.

Sorry bout the rant.

Pepper - You can't go wrong with Bravo Company M16 BGC. Properly staked gas keys / MPI / HPT Bolt with proper extractor insert.
