Rick

The CTR I had on it originally had a mispec buffer - the anti tilt buffer was a custom firearms ready solutions - I had to measure the opening of my bolt carrier for the nipple :D (for the lack of better term) to fit there - it also came with its own proprietary buffer spring.

Assembled it in - and immediately noticed something is not right - it takes two hands to pull the bolt back - it seems the last first 1.5" of travel something is binding.

Ok I swapped the CTR for the UBR same thing - the few times I cycled it by hand it it chewed up the inside of the UBR buffer tube

Check out how the buffer looks now just hand cycled

It sounded like a great idea to avoid the dreaded carrier tilt but I went back to stock LMT H2 buffer and spring - at least I can operate the weapon with one hand :barf:

The LMT carrier has anti-tilt pads machined at the bottom of so I'll just leave it like that.

I'm taking it to the range tomorrow.

Yes - I talked to him - we tried to work it out - the problem is he's in the us I'm here in the igloo land.

He tried it in another MRP and it worked fine - he thinks my bolt carrier hole is machined off center forcing the buffer to bind.

I dunno - works perfect with LMT H2 buffer does not with the anti-tilt buffer.

I was trying to prevent wear to receiver extension this this thing chewed up my UBR tube talk about an oxymoron...

Anyways I'm going to run stock set up for now - If I see any further carrier tilt signs I'll look at the issue again....

Thanks for the link - I saved it just in case.

We need muzzle blast!

The LMT piston run like shit - short stroking galore...all I had were my re-loads 25gr of H335 with 55gr FMJ hornady

I'm heading tomorrow with some factory XM193 / Win White Box and some I rolled this afternoon - went as high as 26gr.

It was also suggested to me to swap the H2 buffer for H.

I'm crossing my fingers.

Only good thing was the Triple Tap kicks ass - out of 12.5" barrel it felt like shooting a .22LR.
