I bet these make a funny sound flying through the air....... or it may sound like someone shitting themselves.....

There's not a huge weight difference between H and H2. Might wanna try a standard carbine buffer as well pauli. is your gas system adjustable? Maybe it was running too lean(ie suppresor setting)...

An easy way to check that ur buffer weight is correct is to track the ejection path of ur brass. Ideal is ejected to the 3oclock position. If ur casings are going further to the rear, you can add weight. If the casings are going more forward or not being thrown very far, u can subtract weight. Just a thought pauli. Good luck :)

H to the hizzle
f to the fizzle

sorry, that just sounded too much like a rap song!

Hey Guys

I'm back from the range. I swapped the H2 buffer to H

I tested a variety of magazines here are the results.

Factory .223 Win White Box 55gr - cycles - does not lock the bolt open with empty mag (tested with one round in the mag)
Factory .223 Win White Box 62gr - cycles - does not lock the bolt open with empty mag (tested with one round in the mag)
XM193 - Cycles - locks the bolt open :)

Re-loads

Upping the powder charge to 26gr of H335 from 25gr resulted in locking the bolt open - 25.8 - 25.6. - 25.5 gr charges cycled but did not lock the bolt open.

77gr SMK with 24.5gr of RL-15 cycled - locked the bolt open.

It looks like it prefers 5.56 pressure ammo.

Some crappy pics from the range...

Looks like I need to clean my 1911 - haven't cleaned it over 1000 rounds.

No one would care either way :D:cool:

I love rifles, got a few, but have come to realize I am just a shotgun kinda guy.

My eyes are too old to snipe but I can still scatter and smother - give me a 12 gauge...in each hand :D or a 10mm

Found an Car buffer in my parts bit - going to try it next weekend.

Thanks for your help Rick....

Went and tried my Osprey today. Brand new 10.5" LMT upper, H-Buffer. Brought some Lacquer coated Wolf, trying to get rid of it. Some Federal XM193 also.

The LMT does not like Wolf Ammo. 2 mags full, had to manually cycle every round. Atleast the ones that would chamber. Around 14 rounds wouldn't even allow the bolt to fully close. After that ordeal, got the Federal out. Then she ran like a top. Less gas in my eye suppressed, too boot. :D
