I have one. It is one of the things I keep by the bed for things that go bump in the night. I use rechargeable batteries in mine (it holds 8 AA batteries). I would recommend it for a home/truck light (it is around the size of a 2D cell Maglite).

I have been looking for a light for the house. I think this is the one. I am glad you like yours...

Greg, it makes a great house or car camping flash light (especially if you standardize on rechargeable AAs). I now keep a TK40 and a Moddoo M2-50 (in a OJ C2) as my "Bump in the Night" lights.

I'm excited to see how it compares to the M2-50. The 1909 in that reflector should be a monster thrower.

I have have one of his latest triples and it is awesome but I havent been able to grab an M2-50 yet, let me know if your bored with yours.

OPened up my Megallanium 1909 Searchlight yesterday and tried it out last night. Pretty amazing having that much light in such a relatively small package. I don't know exactly how far it throws but it lit up everything as far as I could see. I would guess 800 plus feet!! It is awesome.
