Horton Knives Official Flashlight Thread ll

This one is the one I had tuned up. That other pic is someone elses. Scott does some cool things with lights.

727 lumens on high, not sure what the low is but it's just about perfect for all general uses. :)

sweet, does it use cr 123's or is it bored out for 18mm? i think this Moddoo I got is 1100 lumens it is amazing. I might be wrong but I believe Moddoo also did one of these at 1400 lumens. mine doesnt have a lot of throw but like Moddoo says it is a wall of light. I'm just in love so far.

3 CR123's or 2 Re-chargeables with a dummy cell. I am sure I will need to snag one of Moddoo's creations as well. :D

oh, yeah, and about the M2-50s.

not sure. Very busy with other things.

something good coming soon.

I ordered a M61 drop in from Malkoff yesterday, he has a few if anyone is interested.

It's a 260 lumen 2 hour run-time drop in for the 2 battery surefires.

I'll post my thoughts here when I get it.

Still missing these every time I think about one. For a couple of general purpose lights, however, I'm considering those 60LF's that Gene has on sale right now. I have two Surefire 6P's in which I could put them. I asked for opinions about general usage and this drop-in over at CPF, and reviews seem to be favorable so far.

nice heater! you guys like the x300 over the tlr1s?

So far, I really like my TLR1s. rlarge, I contacted the guy from whom you got your custom holster for gun & light, but I haven't heard anything back.

Sweet. Nice knife!

They are fully regulated 1100 lumens

I really need to pick up one of these eventually. You know... in case the stadium lights go out at my son's soccer or baseball games. :D

I'm still astounded by 1100 lumens in a 6P shell. Is that sort of like wielding a light saber?

I did pick up two of the Malkoff 60LF's (since they are so cheap right now) for some glove box lights. They're only a measly 140 lumens though. :( :p

My newest flashlight is the Elektro Lumens FireSword IV. It has 4 LEDs and produces over 3000+ lumens. It uses rechargeable batteries and lights up the neighborhood like day. :)

Sounds like fun!

Please post some pics of your actual light.

I would like to see the production model.

I know I'm late to the "latest and greatest" party on this one, but I just ordered a AA Maratac to try out. Looks like a good way to reduce some weight on backpacking trips and still have a decent light. Plus, it's redundant in terms of the batteries for my Garmin GPS (two AA's for that unit).

These run times look pretty nice to me for a single AA.
Low Mode, 1.5lm Output for 100 Hours
Medium Mode, 18lm Output for 7 Hours
High Mode, 85lm Output for 2 Hours

Also looks like, just as with the AAA Maratac, you can flip the clip and turn it into a cap light for hands free use.

Cool light. I do the small thing with standardizing on AA with most of my camping gear (still carry a Surefire though). Depending on what I'm doing my Fenix TK40, Quark AA, Midland radios, Black Diamond lantern, and Garmin GPS all run on AAs.

TK40 (takes 8 AAs) and one of my favorite Hortons:

Had the fire dept show up last night about three in the morning to put out a fire in the house across the street. turned out to be pretty minor but it woke me up and i went out and ended up talking with a couple fireman that had surefire lights in their hands. They got really interested when I lit up the back of the house for them with Moddoo's Triple XPG. My 6P looked the same as theirs except for the fact that it is orange and puts up this monster wall of light. Pretty sure I could have sold my light eight times over last night. lol
Thanks Moddoo. love this light.
Cant wait to get a M2-50. :D

Moddoo if you get a PM from me pay no attention and put me on your ignore list. Thanks:D:cool: JK
