Actually,I prefer the sharper edges on this
particular knife.
Since I use it for work,seems I get a little extra grip on it
when Im wearing gloves or have greasy hands.
I have since taken that paracord off and added a home made
kydex pocket clip to the sheath. I made it so the knife
sits deep in the ruler pocket of my carpenters jeans.
Just the top of the handle sticks out.
Pics tonight. Maybe one of the real sheath makers can make a proper
one for me and others.

I just wanted to let everyone know how nice Eli's sheaths are. Beautiful work. Bruce was kind enough to send his XL sheath to me to look at.:thumbup: Now all I need is OP to work out all his post daughters wedding aggression, and get my XL back. Take your time OP, and don't look at your bank balance unless you have a tree that needs a choppin.


With Chuddy Bear and Eli as the preferred leather sheath makers for Horton knives, I don't think you could go wrong. Two different styles, but both very high quality.

Yeah, I'm kinda torn too - I like it like it is, but the latest Gen with the rounded edges, is very shweeeeeeeeeet!!!

Thanks - I really like both, but the XL has been wearing Carto's Kydex mostly as I usually have her in the backpack or strapped to tractor or 4 wheeler when I'm out using her
