4 years ago me and momma went campin in crater lake, oregon. they had these bear boxes to put your food in at nite. well somewhere down the line, at anpother campsite, some idjit didnt put up his food, and lo and behold, out comes a bear from the woods and not only ate his food, it drank ALL his beer!!!

Did it take a long time? Did you use the green oxide? Is this the same shit Lee Valley is selling?
 
I convexed it by hand, but due to the steep angle of the knife grind I couldn't get the sharpness I wanted. I used the Green Chromium Oxide from "Woodcrafters" on the belt sander/ leather belt, and VOILA!

I think it's different from the Lee Valley formula, but I don't have both to compare. On the plus side, it was a small amount and will only last me ONE lifetime.
