Jeremy, I thought you were joking about the buffer being the most dangerous tool in the shop, but I just read about George Tichbourne. A piece of metal got away from him, internal bleeding, almost died, Wow. Stay safe and stay away from buffers.

Returned from my local gunshop a bit disappointed... he only got two .45ACP pistols in stock and those were secondhands aswell :(

First was a Colt Gold Match or sumptin'... never before saw such a bling-bling gun... nickel hardware and gold plated bits and the grips I think were either MOP or Ivory... I would be affraid to shoot that pistol, much too nice looking... was out of my budget aswell :p

Second was a S&W 4566 I think, also with some gold plated details, but a lot more affordable... but it showed a lot of wear...

I'm going to check if anybody at my Guild (Shooting Range) has a .45 and ask them to have a go with it.

Otherwise I'll check out another local gunshop, which is a bit further away.

He did say that those Norinco .45's were only good for 2000 shots and then you have to get a new barrel. Apparently Norinco says this themselves.

Looks like the .45ACP isn't a very popular caliber overhere. Majority of pistols are in 9MM Para or .22LR. But those I got allready

I just picked up second Norinco 1911A1. $395 here in igloo land. They last a lot longer than 2k.

Mornin,, paul..

Fuck buffin... I have seen more than a small knife get away.. When a FFBM zings,, you pay attention,, hopefully George will be ok,,

If/when I get married, there will be a pre-nup... and in it, it will say (amongst other things) no bitching about knives, guns and any other piece of equipment involved in general outdoor activities. My last girlfriend threatened to leave me, if I bought just one hand gun.:barf: Never again...:barf:

My buffer is variable speed. The job takes a little longer but it's safer.
Greg--- I hope you find a man soon. :D

Know the feelin'... my wife asked me yesterday what I was going to do going to the gunshop on Friday... told her he had to take a look at my .22LR 'cause a piece needed replacing and added mumbling that maybe I was going to buy a .45ACP pistol... she asked why I didn't have enough with the two guns I allready owned and why a third and that it was dangerous enough with the kids and all... asked her what the difference was between 2 or 3 handguns lying in my safe ?! She had no answer...

Wife 0 - Chibbi 1 :D
