Hot Rod AK

Nice pne Ban --- that one looks like it was a LOAD of work...

Yeah no kidding. Just tapering the tang was a real slow and tedious process. Roughly about 11" of taper . Those handles slabs started off nearly 3/4" thick per side and I had to sand off a chit load. The sides were also rough cut so I had to carefully flatten it. :grumpy:

Great work as always Ban! Should make for a lightning fast zombie killer:thumbup:

edit- I got to ask, do the scales look pink in person? or is that the pic

I think it is just the lighting. It looks red in person. But then again...I am somewhat color blind ;)

That is unbelievably cool:thumbup:. Great job on that one... I notice the jobs keep getting a little more intricate each time.

That thing is awesome Brother. TOTALLY!

I first thought that you made it for me because of the HOTROD and then the AK. HOTROD Aaron Kelley.

It looks like it could cut the air and make it bleed. Thanks for the pictures to drool over.

Hmmmm,

Maybe conversions are part of the future?

Pre-Ban and Post Ban Swords?

Send in two and get one back? Trade-ins?

Interesting.

Good thing I was eating lunch- I had a napkin handy! I knew as soon as I saw the heading and who posted it I was going to be drooling- I just didn't know how much!

Your work never fails to impress- thanks for posting, that is beautiful!

Zombie heads would fall off just being near that thing. That's freaking awesome, great job Ban!

hey ban, your work is better than a lot of the custom shop stuff......you should be working for busse.....

NOT better. Just different. It is a apples to oranges comparison. I have the time to sit there and muck around with a single knife all day long. The CS doesn't not have that luxury.

that, sir, is now my dream blade. love those handle slabs and the tapered tang looks like it works out great

That tapered tang played a very critical role to lighten the overall package and bring the balance up front. It made everything feel so much more alive.

Ban,
That is absolutely wicked cool. Makes me quite proud to be involved with this project. The AK's owner and I have named this particular color pattern of scales "Dragon's Breath"
So everyone knows, they are Canvas based handmade scales.
Best Regards,
-Todd

I will just have to keep this AK hostage until I get mine done :p

WOW Ban, i want one of those so bad,.........
I think you and your sander need a little vacation over this way with the Razorbacks!

MRpink has summed it up nicely.

What can I say..........Beautiful.

A Freaking lightsaber.

It's all mine:eek::eek::eek:

Thanks Ban for your time and all your hard work. Can't wait to handle this one up close and personal. Hopefully I can make that NorCal meeting at Ban's and let some of the Cali Hogs have a go. I bet it is super quick. Any idea on the weight?

Thanks again Ban and I can't wait for the other AK ;)

and.....

The rucks:eek::eek::eek::eek:

Ban,

Maybe you just need a Website and a price list for alterations along with pictures of course.

Some thing to do with your extra time, a side income perhaps.

Maybe even reproduce in INFI, a few pocket knife blades, then install those same blades into the pocket knives in question.

I have had a Volunteer, Volunteer an SR5 already, if I am willing to pay some one to make it fit my Severtec for instance.

This "Volunteer" then Assumes that he will get said knife at the very least when I die.

This "Volunteer" has posted in this very post and talks with me about this "Project" every few days.

INFI Bladed Severtec, Sounds pretty good doesn't it ?

I wonder how many Pocket knife blades you could get out of one INFI AK ?

Things that make you go hmmm ?
