Anders' metal work is readily identifiable,
and I really like it.
 
His clips, and guards, take some getting used to but still..
Spectacular.

The clip and "unusual" guard design combine to make one of the least aesthetically pleasing knives I have seen in 2009.

I'm being very restrained here.....this knife is very, very unattractive...IMO.

I am inclined to agree, but that is because of my personal taste only. In other words, I'd rather have a Hanson even if Don did post this.

Exceptional! There's no denying the creativity here, whether it appeals to one or not. The workmanship is impeccable!
 
Hmm, In a way I think its nice but I can't stand the shape of the guard. I wish the blade didn't have the weird clip because in general I like that blade alot but the weird tip ruins it for me. However, the knife has a nice flow and good proportions. Obviously a nice walrus handle similar to Hanson fashion in terms of the way its used.

Why did he have to split the front of the guard like that though? Weird and fishlike to me. :)

He makes nice stuff and the quality looks great. Its all a matter of taste and I do see something appealing about this although I just listed the negatives.
 
I admire the fine craftsmanship, but looking at the picture doesn't make me want it.

Anders marches to his own drums. This knife is out of the ordinary indeed...is it pretty in a traditional sence...I don't know I guess not. I wouldn't call it a Bowie by the way;) What I do know is that his fit and finish is immaculate and the flow of his knives has to be experienced in hand.

Anders had a couple of "Bowies" (knives in the same style like this one) with him last year at the Paris show and I handled them all. I have to tell you they have a style of their own but the balance, flow and proportions are all there. Does he appeal to everyone...I guess not, but heck he has my vote:cool::thumbup:

Don,

They must certainly appeal to someone, and I know that you are personally quite fond of Anders....but the features seem to be different for the sole purpose of being different....that is not good or bad, per se...just different.

That said, the features do not seem to add to the function of the knife, and aesthetics are a very personal thing...If a collector that I knew to have similar taste in knives as mine expressed interest in owning this knife....I would be really interested in knowing why.

As I said variety is a good thing but personally I don't care for it. Who made it or how different doesn't enter into it.

Yeah, but do you like it? :D;)

Personally I don't really like it. But the workmanship looks outstanding, and I'm sure there are people out there who like "different".
