I'm living on the wrong continent :-(
I've been looking at the Springfield XDm 9MM 3.8" compact. I also really liked the S&W M&P 9mm with the magazine pinky grip. I just found out about Pearce grips so I'm probably going to go with the XDm 9c.

ESEE Pack Kit, HI M-43, ESEE 4, and Dave Clements custom 4" Redhawk .44 magnum. The .44 is my pride and joy. Mr. Clements no longer does any double action work and that's a shame. It's great with 320 hardcast bullets, also shown. It should shoot stem to stern on anything in North America, certainly anything in Central Texas. The M-43 is a custom 19" and weighs a hair less than 32 ounces. The ESEE 4, well what can I say. Knife perfection. I figure I'd be well armed (without packing a longarm, that is) just about anywhere outdoors with this combo. Take care.
