How About an HI Giveaway?

I'll take 88. Wish I could have known Dick, but I got here too late. Have a good idea what he was like from this, though.

This forum has produced so many people that I wish I could've known. It's kinda depressing sometimes. :(

Then again, knowing part of his collection might be second best... put me down on 50. :D

Hi Guys
Stirling idea!! Typical of the caring and generous attitude that I am coming to expect around H.I., I'll take 99,and if it wins you may send it to whomsoever you wish.

I like Kis's idea...can I change my mind?

If so, please put me down for #33 and donate it to Ram's raffle if it is the winner.

My pleasure Nasty. I thought about just sending it direct to Steve myself, but thought this would be more fun and get some new folks looking at HI for the first time.

I'll lock you in for lucky #33 then, and thanks.

Norm

OOPS! Just read thru and Mike has #33 already Nasty. Please give me your best alternate. (Disregard and see post #48!) :D

I'll try to put everyone on the first post so folks don't have to scroll through. I always hated that about raffles...

Heck of a way to remember a good man. I'll take #77 if available. And if my number wins, donate the blade to next Ram raffle, as several others have suggested.

Bill, #77 was taken by Markksr in the third post yesterday. I'm putting you down for #78, OK? And I'm taking the initiative of putting Nasty down for #34! Both 1 up from your original requests. Hope this is OK, but want to get you guys locked in...

Norm

Just put a quick and dirty spreadsheet list together, no names just #'s. Refer to post 1 to see the numbers taken so far...

Thanks,

Norm

I meant to put down 34 all along...Thanks Norm!

This is a pic my friend Dick sent me:

Great pic, thanks Andy! Most of us know Dick had an extensive HI collection, but I didn't find out until much later that he had dozens of other quality knives, including many custom knives. He showed me a few tantalizing pics, including some beautiful custom fighters and several nice razels, but that was just the tip of the iceberg I guess. He had great taste in knives, no doubt about it.

Dick generously donated all his stuff, including vehicles, to a veterans support organization in Boise, and to Best Friends Animal Society and Angel's Rest Animal Sanctuary, where his ashes were scattered.

He also bought and gave away a big bunch of my sheaths. I have no idea who got them, but I hope they're getting good use out of them.

God bless you Dick.

Kis had a wonderful idea, I too would like to change my mind and if I won to have it donated to Steve for the raffle. The number...55
