How big is the police 4 lightweight?

I wish Spyderco made an even bigger model than the Police with the same thin blade stock. That would be awesome.
That would be quite the pocket sword! I'm starting to think the Military 2 will be the perfect size for me but until it comes out this Police 4 should tie me over. Who knows maybe I'll grow to love it's size during that time and feel no need to drop down in size a little

After carrying the Police 4 lightweight a couple days now I'm starting to get more used to it's size, to the point where an endura 4 almost feels like a small knife where before my endura used to feel substantial to me haha

Fits my hand better than an Endura, personally think the handle is more comfortable.

Yeah, my Military turned my Delica into a keychain knife years ago.

it's pretty big.

The only thing I didn't like about it is that I couldnt close it one handed easily.

i didnt really feel like practicing that action or I'd have kept the one i bought.

i guess.

For thoughtful closing, I just let the choil fall on my finger and guide it down using my little wave feature's hook. I also guide it up using the hook, when I am doing a slow-roll and not flicking it out using the hole.

I find the endura most comfortable in a "choked back" hold with only my index finger in the first groove, middle finger in the middle groove, then last 2 in the last groove, if that makes sense. With my medium size hands like this the ridges create no hot spots but if I need to choke up a little still not too bad. I agree police definitely has the edge in comfort though

Just got a Police 4 LW in K390 (and immediately blued the blade). Other than the "letting the choil hit the closing hand" technique described above, the Police has a long enough handle that you can try a different one-handed closing, where you brace the bottom of the handle at the base of your hand, plant your thumb near the pivot, then use your index finger to depress the lock. Takes a Kevlar index finger (and maybe loosening the pivot a touch), but I have found with the Police and the Endura that you can swing the blade all the way shut. Mandatory Safety Announcement: Make sure you are clear of the blade path and start slow. A stainless Endura makes a fine pinky guillotine.

I used to do this with my endura every now and then, but find it's even easier to drop the heavier blade on the police back in.
