How can you not like the wave

It is really mind blowing how some people do not like the wave. It dose not get in the way or pulling out the knife normally at all, I just dont see why any body would not like it. if you dont want to use it just pull it out straight, unless your just that incompetent. Also it turns in to a great thumb ramp. Sorry if I sound rude but i just dont see it. its mind bottling, like my mind is trapped in a little bottle lol. Am i the only one??

Easy, I just don't. If you like it, fine for you, but I don't. Do I really need a reason? Incidentally, I do believe that would be mind boggling, not mind bottling.

i think it is an awesome feature that works great

however - you have to be aware of it doing its job - yesteday i pulled out my cqc8 carelessly - just wanted to hold it against some background for choosing colors for my display - and did not even think about the wave - it opened halfway and i almost cut myself

but thats not the fault of the wave feature - that was just me being mindless :D

I have two waveless Emersons (Persian and Mini A-100) out of over 25. I love the wave feature for all it's simplicity and efficacy, but the two I mentioned would not look good with a wave IMHO.

I've gotten myself bit a few times when the wave snagged the liner down in my pocket and started to open prematurely. I've trained myself to grip the blade spine along with the handle when deliberately non-waving on presentation.

Like i said im not trying to be rude but i just never heard a reason why some one dont like it other than "they just dont". I really would like to hear a reason, again im not trying to be a smart a** i just whole heartedly would like to know, just to see both sides. To me i see it as somebody saying I dont like the 426 Hemi, just cause...and i know its really mind boggling lol

that's totally understandable. aesthetics is a perfectly valid reason. As nutnfancy would say " 2nd kind of cool"

I like it but I can understand why some folks don't. I suppose a knife could be de-waved with a Dremel pretty easily if need be.

To, understand, the Wave, like an Emerson knife, is to love it. One can "choose" to use it or not. Can't beat that.
I now prefer all my Emersons to have this feature.

I can imagine not having a wave on my edc. Even if I had a persian I'd try to wave it . LOL I'm almost all EKI. But you do have to be deliberate when pulling it out without waving. I do the same as OM and place my finger on the spine, because my Roadie will open just looking at it. LOL
