How did you become a knife knut?

YEARS ago when I was 16 my older brother gave me his old Ulster Scout knife. I have carried it on and off for the last 27 years. But it was the one that started the spark. Many Bucks, Cases, Old Timers and so on later this one still means the most to me.

I was always interested in guns and knives. I was raised by rather protective parents(dad was a Detroit cop), so I wasn't allowed to have any besides my scout knife. Well fast forward through school, more school, buying a house, getting married, starting a carreer. I got re-interested in shooting, and bought several pistols, well if you are going to carry a pistol, logic told me I needed a good knife. So I was introduced to Emerson Knives...I also soon learned that to keep up with the shooting hobby you needed to spend a lot on ammunition. Well not so with knives, there is no need to spend more money on anything besides....more knives. So now I shoot what I have, and buy the knives I want. Most get a lot of use at work, some don't but I plan on keeping them all for a long time.
