How did you find your Becker? Or, how did you become completely obssesed?

I want to know everyone's story on how they found Becker Knives....was it a buddy? Was it a random review? What is your story?

I honestly cannot remember what started the spark. It may have been one of those youtube black holes that sucks you in. But I found myself very quickly obsessing about getting a BK2. Now I have one........now I'm obsessing about getting a 24, 11...9....sigh.

Found a good price on an 11 online. Did some research. Found this place. Got hooked...
Lookin' good in gold Nikki!

When I was 12 or so in 2003, my brother bought a Camillus bk7 and I thought it was awesome. Over the next 8-10 years it went back and forth between us. He is currently carrying the same bk7 overseas right now. Thus started my love for Beckers. The most rewarding part of my job is being able to buy more Beckers!

i wanted a survival type knife. was reading reviews and someone mentioned a BK2...a BK what??? I then found it and found this place..the rest, as they say, is history.

Back before Ethan had eye surgery, he wore these ridiculously thick glasses.

He backed into me one day in the grocery store parking lot. I jumped out and yelled, "Jesus, you blind old man?!?!?!"

His reply was "Who said that???"

He paid for the damage in knives......and the rest is history.

Gawd, I love this place.

Googled survival knives, and the BK2 kept coming up. Researched it, bought it, and found this forum.

had seen a 9 online and was tempted, came here and saw great slobbering reviews about it so I had to get it. A 2, 11, 4, 5, 1st run 16 & reg production 17 followed soon after, a 7, 15 & 16 bound to end in my hands eventually. Yep, they are addictive.

I needed a sturdy field knife and always wanted a Kabar. Accidently found Becker knives while pursuing a ESEE knife and fell in love with the BK2.
The price tag combined with the no-nonsense approach to the blade made the decision easy! Especially when I found out they were manufactured by Kabar.
Now i'm growing my own little Becker family!

I found Bladeforum a couple of years ago. Back then I was into folders; Spyderco mostly. I spent most of my time in General Knife Discussion and kept hearing about Becker Knives. I found this subforum and the rest is history.

I was reading up on survival, bushcraft, etc and came across several videos and articles on the Bk2. I figured for the price and that it was made by Ka-bar why not. It was love at first sight and the family has continued to grow ever since..

I was watching Deadliest Warriors, and they mentioned Ka-Bar. Started with buying a Ka-Bar tanto and machete. Found Becker by looking at online retailers... bought a BK2... wanted more information on it, and then I found BF. R.I.P. to my wallet.

I was going on a turkey hunt and had the possibility of hunting feral hogs with dogs. I wanted a knife that could finish a nasty, not-so-happy wild hog. I googled "hog hunting knife" and found a link to this sub-forum. The more I looked and compared knife shapes, blades, etc. the more the BK7 was screaming "pick me". I bought it and started lurking... I have a BK14 on the way. I feel the infection is spreading...

I used to have a cheap bowie from Pakistan that I beat the crap out of, really abused the snot out of it. I decided I wanted something newer and another forum recommended beckers so in researching them specifically I found BF. I lurked for a while and eventually joined.

I remember when I was younger, around 15 or so, seeing camillus beckers in the catalogs I would get and being particularly interested in the BK6. Never got one though. I do have an old Ka-Bar warthog though so that's a small consolation.

Was looking for a big chopper, and found the Ontario RD9. While researching it, I learned of Beckers (BK9 in particular). More reading and research led me here, which led to more Beckers. I actually got the RD9 first, but can only remember using it once. The King get pretty much all my wood chopping/batoning use (unless I am trying out a new Becker, haha).

I was looking for a good survival type knife on the net and I kept reading about the bk2 I had to have one so I ordered love it and now have the 2, 14 and a 11

I discovered the joy that is a 1/4" thick knife.... I got an Esee 5 for my birthday years ago (after much pestering to my gf) and loved the feel, knowing that my brother would also enjoy one I started to hunt for another.

Growing up if my brother and I owned the same thing, matching toys, cloths, pocket knives from my grandfather, as soon as he'd lose his (it was inevitable) he would then take mine and claim it as his own. Since then I've learned my lesson and when it was time to pick out a knife I decided to go the bk2 route. After seeing it in person and holding it... and even more so after using it, I knew these Becker knives were a thing of quality.

Its all down hill now.
