So I have wrapped and re wrapped my izula about 10 times and while my wrap is clean, tight, looks good...... I cant seem to finish it well. Its sitting here with a square knot to hold it right below the retention hole, and it works, but it sure is ugly.

Just curious what you guys have done, pictures would be wonderful if you have them.

Thanks in advance.

Nice man, I never saw a response to my query I appreciate it. You dont worry about it coming undone?

Tony..... Ha, I suppose I had that coming ;) There on my list.

Melt the ends and smear them to the wrap; when the melted paracord cools it becomes hard and forms a good bond.

lol i tied two wet knots into mine at the end. its not purty but it works. i used two different colors, orange and od green.. it was my first and only wrap. its very very tight (bc i wet the cord before wraping). i dont see a need in re-wrapping it..

Well it's tightened pretty tight with pliers... I guess if it comes undone, i'll have to try something new... but so far so good.

Just the other day when wrapping my izula I ran into the same problem, I decided to use some of the excess cord to make a wrist loop and while it's actually more hanging off the knife, it looks a bit more normal now (at least to me)

of course, the photo you want is the one out of focus.... but you can see how it's done. It holds.

I did something very similar to JDrex's Izula.

Making a little wrist strap let me fit on an extra foot of paracord to my wrap and it makes using the Izula a bit more secure.

Simply wrap. I already have the strand doubled up as I wrap it. Then get to the end, loop it through itself and done.

i just burnt the last two pieces of paracord and melted it. but now i have scales. i will say the paracord is much handier and feels as a better grip to hang on to

Mine is ugly and basic...I'm not very good..but it's really comfy. I added a cord lock..this pic is on modding my real deal hat...I used the Izula to punch holes in the canvas:

Overview

The good thing about doing it this way is that I can use the paracord and re-wrap it afterwards without cutting it or anything
