How did you use your EDC today?

Okay, no more combat-related questions. I was wondering how you used your EDC knife today? I just used my Al Mar Sere during lunch to cut a ham sandwich. It was a ferocious sandwich, though. You should have seen it. BTW, the Sere is a wonderful and sharp knife.

Same here - my stockman dealt with a particularly ferocious apple! Think I also cut some stray threads and also opened bag of coffee at work. A slipjoint is perfect for my everday needs/uses.

Haven't used it yet today. But when I go to work I'll unleash it on some boxes and the occasional piece of meat. It's really nice to have a job in which you consistently use your knife.

I've heard the term, but what exactly is a slip joint? Is it those Case Trapper type knives?

A non-combat related question?!!! Be still my heart!

In truth, there is an Strider SnG clipped to my jeans today. But I just bought a new Buck 110 Ionfusion knife, and I've never had a titanium plated 'anything' and I wanted to see how it performed.

My wife had just thrown a Pepsi Diet 24 pack over near the kitchen garbage can because it didn't fit. I cut the pack into strips easy enough to fit without stuffing; my resin/rosin (you know, that 'white stuff' for polishing) covered strop was hanging right by the counter. I gave the knife a few licks and then checked the edge. Still as fresh as when it left the Edge Pro.

Don't tell Mick Strider, but I might pack this 110 this weekend for light work.

How do I use my EDC?

Let me think?????

It cuts my apple at lunch. I use it as a screw driver when ever one is needed and none is around. I opens my mail. Cleans the underside of my finger nails. It is also used as a conversation piece since most of the people I work with don't know what a good knife is so they always ask how much and fall over when I tell them.

My EDC at work is the BM942S my EDC the rest of the time 710HS.

So far my edc(today an Emerson mini-cqc) has been used to; open some tyvek envelopes from the overnight delivery, open regular mail, cut some paracord, flick some paint chips off a wall (checking for termite damage),peel an orange and draw a small amount of blood from my thumb. My fault for trying to do too many things at once. I really need to focus more on these sharp things.

:( The only action so far. . .wax string (no ~ not dental floss). :(

But I feel secure. . .knowing that it's at the ready ~ willing ~ and able ! :p ;) :D

I used mine the same way I use it almost every day at work: cutting open boxes, cutting shrink wrap, strapping material, nylon twine/rope, plastic bags, fabrics, and anything else that turns up that they decide to use when they pack furniture. I'm the one opening it up btw. :)

I used my small Sebenza to break down a box. The only other action my knife's seen today is the fondling from me.:D

stop me from getting inside. Oranges, apples, carrots - my Peshkabz or CRK&T kasper makes short work of them.

You ought to see what my Spyderhawk does to a lunchable - its incredible...

Dang! Wouldn't ya know it ... today was the first day in over a week I've gotten into a knife fight, and now you don't want to hear about it!

cool thread....shame I havent used my knife at all today!! Its been in my pocket but thats all...

yesterday I trimmed my nails with it, now there was a task to test it!

That's pretty funny. I don't care personally, but you might offend some of the other members here with talk about your blood-and-guts incident.

Actually, just being in your pocket is just fine. It's there when you need it, and you will.
