I breathed some micarta dust last night, couldnt find my dust mask and wasnt doing much, just making some countersink holes 1mm deeper. My sinuses felt like shit this morning, felt like I had a head cold. Wouldnt recommend it.

I'm sort of curious as to why the Black G10 is listed as about 20% more expensive than the Black Micarta??? Does it have to do with the number of them that are made or does G10 cost more???

G10 is also more expensive because it eats the tools up more rapidly. My understanding is that it is terrible on the cutting tools.

Yep, G10 eats up tooling a lot faster than micarta. One time I tried to cut some g10 on a jigsaw with a wood cutting blade. Within 5 seconds the blade was toothless I had to resort to carbide blades since then.

For me there is no advantage to G10 over micarta.

I still much prefer micarta over G10 in the feel and grip dept.

I guess you can argue that it is a bit stronger than micarta. It does come in many more color combos. The colors also appear cleaner and with more defined color seperation in combo colors.
