I'm sort of curious as to why the Black G10 is listed as about 20% more expensive than the Black Micarta??? Does it have to do with the number of them that are made or does G10 cost more???
G10 is also more expensive because it eats the tools up more rapidly. My understanding is that it is terrible on the cutting tools.

Yep, G10 eats up tooling a lot faster than micarta. One time I tried to cut some g10 on a jigsaw with a wood cutting blade. Within 5 seconds the blade was toothlessI had to resort to carbide blades since then.
