how do y'all carry multiple knives?

I wear 3 neck knives, 10 clipped IWB, and 10 clipped OWB, 10 in my two front pockets, and 10 in my rear back pockets, 4 on each ankle, and two drop down holster type sheaths for 2 big machetes.

I'm just kidding.... but I've been to a store where the employee there had something similar to that setup. People just stood there and watched in awe as he pulled out knife after knife and set them on the counter when he was showing a customer.

Off the top of my head, these are the ways I know of to carry knives;

Boot rigs
Neck knives
Hidden sheaths under the belt for small fixed blades
Neck sheaths for folders
Pocket clips for folders
Pockets
Belts
Wallet knives
Drop leg sheaths
Shoulder rigs
Back-mounted rigs for larger blades

I've even seen some watch bands and bracelets big enough to hide a push dagger under/inside of.

It's entirely possible to carry a couple dozen knives without it being uncomfortable or scary looking.

Funny -- this is actually what got me interested in knives. Many years ago, I was at a company Christmas party. One of my colleagues turned to her husband and said, "Carl, show him your knives". Her husband proceeded to whip out about 10 knives, all from a different place (pocket, wallet, sock, etc.). From that moment on, I was hooked. :-)

My question in this thread was more about pockets, I guess. Seems like folks carry a lot in their pockets (or at least, that was my assumption), because going to the lengths he did seems a bit excessive to take on every time you leave the house.

It's always been a fob pocket. Because the chain attatched to a watch is called the fob.

Cool, didn't know. I'd always assumed "fob" was a recent word, coined to describe the things that you unlock your cars with (which would be about the size of that pocket). Thanks for the clarification!

I will sometimes carry 2-3 knives. Usually I have my ZT0301(right front pocket) accompanied with a Kershaw OD Leek(back left pocket). This will let me be delicate it I need and brutal if I want, and I can pull out the leek and not get the WTF look from people. If Im dressed nicer Ill also carry a boker horizontal carriy in the small of my back, hiking/shooting Ill have my ZT 0121 or/and my Outcast on my pack or vest along with the 0301 and leek.

Funny... used to be called a watch pocket, if memory serves. How times change. :-)

Same here. Was a watch pocket in 60's and 70's mid Atlantic region growing up. Many gents carried a pocket watch without a chain attached to it.

On my day off, usually a one handed folder clipped RFP and a SAK or Traditional folded in a bandana in LBP.

Things always on me, Fire, Light, Knife; and the occasional boomstick.

Usually carry a stockman in RFP, a Buck 110 on my belt, a Spyderco Stretch 2 right back pocket and if heading out doors a fixed blade on my belt.

I took a pencil with me to the grocery to check things off the PGL (Powernoodle Grocery List). The lead broke so I sharpened it up right there with the Vic Classic. Imagine doing that with an XL Voyager or much of the other stuff we tend to carry. So while sometimes we carry two or more knives just because its fun, there is some utility in the practice as well.

The things we tell ourselves to justify our habits haha.

I mean, I don't necessarily disagree. But then, I also don't think it's really necessary per se, either.

My map of gear carry:
LFP: primary defensive blade:zt 0560 clipped, lip balm and zippo in pocket
LRP: iPhone when I am not wearing cargo pants, usually nothing
RFP: main use knife: manix 2 moonglow clipped, preon 1 flashlight and small SAK in pocket
RRP: wallet
Belt: leatherman wave in sheath on left side, leatherman style attached to my from right belt loop, keys on carabiner on right side belt loop
Guns: ankle carry and belly band

Yep so 3 knives, 2 leathermans, and 2 guns at all times(unless prohibited). I like to be prepared:D

Well in that case... First you must decide between jeans, cargo pants and dress pants. Then you can do things like pocket clip carry, pocket sheath carry, sew dividers in your pockets so stuff doesn't get jumbled and uncomfortable, etc.

Victorinox Ranger in a holster on my belt at 4 o'clock, a RAT-3 or ESEE-3 either on my belt at 9 o'clock or in my left-front pocket, and a Kershaw Chill SOMEWHERE.

spring loaded deployment in both right and left sleves. one on each ankle, one strapped to my inner thigh. clipped to my right front pocket, clipped to my left front pocket, deep carry in front right pocket deep carry left back pocket. horizontal on the belt at the small of my back cross draw on my belt on the left side. in a shoulder rig in both right and left armpits. duct taped to my back under the trapezious muscle for a total of 14 knives at a time.

Cmon, duct taped to your back? Thats where I draw the line.. your morning/evening routine sounds like it requires a helper and is painful

Here's a couple of pics of my normal EDC:
EDC.JPGEDC2.JPG

How I carry them:
ZT 0560 Clipped To Right Front Pocket
Spyderco Stretch Clipped To Left Front Pocket
Leatherman Squirt P4 - attached to a long lanyard by a small Niteize carabiner(attached to belt loop) and a lobster clasp(attached to squirt) and the dropped in my left front pocket. Almost like a wallet chain. =]
Nebo CSI Edge Flashlight - Carry it not clipped in my Change Pocket.
Hinderer Investigator Pen - Dropped in my Right Front Pocket.
Camel Zippo - Dropped in my left front Pocket.
Wallet - Back Right Pocket.
Phone - Right Front Pocket.
Cigs - Left Front Pocket.

I have a lot on me, but it all carries comfortably because the way I carry it isn't super bulky.
But for everything else, I carry my EDC pack.

My grocery list is on my iPhone. But I feel ya. Love my Rambler, and nobody gets excited when you use it.

I always carry multiple knives, and I like to keep a low profile. The knives change depending on the kind of pants I'm wearing, and how roomy the pockets are.

I usually keep my main knife clipped to my front right pocket, a back-up knife clipped to my left front pocket, a SAK or small multitool of some sort either in a cargo pocket or in my front right pocket. My wallet goes in my front left pocket, change goes in my back right pocket and my keys (with a Fenix flashlight) go in my back left pocket. It works well for me as long as I choose the knives well, I don't carry the same when wearing loose fitting cargo pants, light sports pants or slacks.
