how do y'all carry multiple knives?

Kaar TDI in a custom pocket scabbard in left pocket, ParaMil in right pocket, TOPS IraqJac in left ankle (all on duty). Off duty, the same, minus the TOPS. Get a compact fixed blade in a pocket and save room to clip on a small flashlight in your non gun side pocket. also you could do a lightweight kneck knife, or something with a pocket clip in the front center-line of your body to free up space in and around the pockets.

Main EDC blade clipped to RFP. Case peanut and keys with Rambler loose in RFP. Wallet in BRP. iPhone in LFP, sometimes with SE Manbug. Also a Fenix LD01 clipped to LBP.

You just have to experiment and find a good system that works for you.

My EDC breakdown consists of:

Right front pocket - Gypsy Jack clipped to the corner, iPhone, and my Ladybug in the watch pocket with a couple guitar picks
Left front - Keys (w/ a Meyerco dirk claw-like kinda knife on the ring), brass/toffee coloured zippo
Right rear - Wallet
Left rear - Empty

Coupled with a tummy-carried 1911 (full-size, being tall rules), I'm comfy with this setup but I could squeeze a few more knives in if I really wanted to.

Boker fitz on my neck, Victorinox on my keys, Mini Grip in my right pocket, 5.11 Alpha Scout folder in my left.

These get taken for weekend trips....FES

Today was a non-work day, so I was only carrying...let's see 1, 2, 3, 4, 5. Along with my iPhone, wallet, a maratac aaa flashlight and a bottle of peppermint oil.

Front Left: iPhone, leather wallet (ULTRA thin) up against it, Vic Pocket Pal on other side of wallet, SRM 763 clipped to top.

Front Right: Maratac and Camillus Marlin Spike knife dropped in pocket, Enlan M020 (+Ziptie mod) clipped to the top back, ZT 350 clipped to the top front.

Watch Pocket: Leatherman PS4 Squirt and Peppermint oil.

Question zpavao What is the peppermint oil used for?

I always got something nice clipped to the RF and a nice flat fixed blade gets slipped into the RF pocket as well. That what I try and do is leave the rf pocket for knives and sometimes a lighter and ciggs.

I carry a large 3.5 to 4 inch folder in my front right pocket, a 3 inch or under in my left front or back pocket. Leatherman Juice in my right pocket and preon 2 in my right back. I hardly notice any of it believe it or not.

Peppermint oil I use like gum but MUCH more powerful! (I hate aftertastes, so I use it after having coffee or anything else with an aftertaste...)

Phone usually rides in my left front pocket along with my flashlight. Main blade, usually a folder of some sort rides either clipped or snug inside in the right front pocket. My SAK cadet always rides in the bottom of the right front pocket. He's usually in a cloth sleeve, so he doesn't scratch anything up. If I decide carry another blade, it either rides in the waistband, in a backpocket, or in a belt sheath.

Like many have said, main folder is for my personal satisfaction and the SAK is used as needed. Also, my tools can ride in my manpurse.

I only carry multiple knives in the winter when i can wear a jacket. I only carry a flashlight when im going somewhere and its already dark out and depending where im going. I always have one in the car though. I carry a full edc when wearing a jacket though, wallet, knives, pens, flashlights, mechanics pocket screwdriver with a magnet on top lol, cell phone, etc. Any other time its usually one knife and maybe one light.

I just read down through most of this thread. I have a question.

Why does one need so many knives on ones person at any given time?

I can't possibly think of a logical reason to have 10 or so knives at any time. I have several knives, if I were to count them all... about 11 or so, not counting kitchen knives (4 fixed, the rest folders). There's no way I'd ever carry all that!

I carry two, and those are a fixed blade and a multi-tool. The fixed blade is my go-to blade as its quicker, usually a lot sharper, and stronger. Then my multi-tool - well no explanation there. You'd be surprised what it has built, taken apart, and repaired. I've carried it for the past 10+ years (showing wear, and some tools are broke, but it still gets the job done - what it can't do I have to go to the tool box anyway).

D/A Socom in left pocket with iPhone4 in Tacticool(waterproof) case
Mini Persidio Auto in right
Custom CC Knife in wallet
LUMMI WEE Ti in wallet
Hinderer investigator in bottom of right pocket with wallet
Tops Mini Bowie on neck
While wearing boots I carry a handcuff key and a Diamond impregnated SERE saw
Often I carry a little starrett level in my wallet
Not much but enough to survive for a few weeks
OH I FORGOT, I also carry a micro blowgun set in a aluminum case(TINY)
So I guess I'd be alright
OOPS
One more item, A little zippo
That's all folks
Sorry if it was disappointing compared to other people.
:D

I'm curious too.....

Most I've carried is two, and I only do that because I want to carry a particular knife that happens to be 3.5" but need a smaller knife for more practical cutting tasks. The funny thing is all I carry is a phone, a flat wallet that only holds my driver's license, a debit card and a credit card, my keys (w/ just the car key and keychain with 1 item attached), and finally a knife.

I already feel like I'm carrying a lot because my pockets seem to be all occupied.

The most I'll ever carry is two. I typically carry one clipped in my waistband and the other clipped to the right corner of my right back pocket. The one in my waistband is either a larger, more "SD" oriented folder or a small fixed blade, and the one in my back pocket is usually my smaller "sheeple" friendly EDC folder. For instance, the load-out today was my Superhawk in my waistband with my Caly 3 in my back pocket.

Alox Bantam in wallet (along with bandaids, not related to carrying a knife :D) in front right. Occasionally an Alox Solo but I fear losing it.
Cell phone (currently a VM Optimus) in front left.
Fenix PD30 in back right pocket. I used to carry a Microstream and while the first Micro was very impressive I feel I get more use out of the Fenix. I used to carry a Cara Cara 2 in that pocket as well, sometimes clipped to my belt around 4-5 o'clock.
Vic small Tinker on key carabiner at about 4 o'clock.
When doing Army stuff, an XL Voyager in my lowest, right leg pocket. I'd like to smooth the handle out a bit with some mild sandpaper so I can put the clip back on and try it out in the back pocket.

I never, ever carry a knife clipped to a front pocket. Most anything that I have that's not listed above sucks and while I recognize and long for the utility of a simple small locking folder up front I can't help but feel it's a bit showoff.
