How do you carry? Pocket, Waistband, Rear Pocket?

If it fits, I prefer carrying knives in the coin pocket of my jeans, otherwise in the right font pocket.

Just wondering how eveyone prefers to carry.
Right front pocket.

I used to carry in front right pocket but now find the waistband more comfortable b/c I tend to put my hands in my pockets often and find the knife gets in the way.
I slide it all the way to the rear corner of the pocket, and don't find it gets in the way of putting my hands in my pockets. That is a bad habit I more or less broke myself of, though. I prefer to keep my hands free and available for whatever I may need them for (balance, self-defence, swating flys, etc.). ;)

Depends on if I am carrying my pistol or not. I carry my knife in my left front pocket if I have no pistol (I'm left handed). But if I have a pistol I carry it in my right front pocket with my pistol IWB or pocket carry on left side.

Depends on the knife and the pants. Some pants pockets make clips uncomfortable for getting keys/lighter etc. in and out, so I'll switch knives, but not pants, for comfort. It gives me a reason to rummage through my knives picking another one out anyway.

Right front tip up with a knife with a clip.

Back right on a lanyard if I know I'm going to be repeatedly accessing the knife for a particular chore.

My actual favorite position is on a small lanyard in the watch pocket on a pair of jeans. But I only have one small Schrade auto that fits that configuration comfortably.

I rarely carry a fixed blade. If I do, it will be in a sheath on a belt on my left side.

I carry a clipped folder in my right front pocket and an SAK in my left pocket. I can't stand things IWB and I never carry stuff in my back pockets.

LM Micra on my keyring goes in left front pocket

Traditional (Stockman or some such) goes in right front pocket.

One-hand opener (if I'm carrying one) goes in right back pocket. I have no preference over tip up or tip down.

Right front pocket...inner pocket if the pants have them...is what I usually do to obey Rule 7 (Never be caught without a knife). If I am walking to or from my car...walking the dogs...or any other situation where I want quick access or advertising...I carry in an unsnapped sheath, tip down, on the front-right size of my belt. If its a folder sideways in a Maxpedition sheath on the left.

Usually carry 3.
1 IWB about 1 o'clock
1 R front pocket clipped so AO doesn't fire
1 R back pocket standing up next to wallet
sometimes I include a Wave on my belt in a sheath

I don't usually use the clip, so I drop the knife into my left front pocket with my space pen, money clip and cell phone. I generally only carry knives that have a 3" blade or smaller. My right pocket has my keys with a SAK classic on the key ring and my work keys have a small mulit-tool on that key ring.

I carry a folder in my right front pocket slid to the back.

Has anyone ever used a William Henry Clipcase or something similiar? I was just looking at these and came across this thread and wondered if it was worthwhile or not.

In my place of work a knife is best kept as hidden as possible and with some of the clips on my knives they stick out way too much. My slipjoints always drop to the bottom of my pocket and it seems to be always in the way and bumps against something usually causing a dirt mark to be made.

Right front pocket mostly, sometimes a nylon sheath for the 520 or the larger folders.

used to clip to right front pocket but needed space and put it in waistband. that was irritating and now it floats in the bottom of right front pocket

Front right pocket tip up and occasionally a backup in the right rear pocket tip up.

right front pocket, slid to the back. I also have a couple knives on my keychain in the opposite pocket.

Depends on A LOT of factors: knife, attire, situation. If I'm going to some kind of formal function it's either getting dropped in the right front pocket or slipped IWB. Otherwise its tip-up clipped to the right front pocket or the rear pocket if I'm in the mood for that/want it to be a bit less obvious. Tip down knives carry well IWB in my experience. On my plate carrier I carry my Spyderco Military on the top left chest area (tip down of course); I've found tip up isn't the best way to go on a vest/chest rig. Sometimes I'll use a belt sheath for a bit more protection/security.
